No. Stephen A. Smith is a classless asshole who thinks any dumbfarkery he spews out and bounces off farkstick Bayless is just being 'edgy' with their format and delivery styles.

I hope that this whole thing is what finally makes ESPN pull those two assholes off of TV and end that pathetic show.

At least Stephen A.'s going to have a lot of free time on his hands soon to eat all the Cheetos he wants.

I'm unclear on how Twitter is still a thing.

2014-07-26 04:41:30 PM
I don't have a clue what he said, but he's a complete jackass who should never be heard from again.

Look his wife apologized for getting knocked the f*ck out so I don't see the problem anymore

As long as they get good ratings, ESPN doesn't care what they say. They are shock jocks, so I'm sure getting paid to say outrageous stuff is in their contracts.

Then you must not pay attention to anything. At all. Seriously, it's damn useful for natural disasters, emergencies, revolutions, and "accidental celebrity nudes". The fact that anyone can post their foolish thoughts is great.

I think for all of those purposes you named, having a character limit of 140 is not very helpful to relay lots of information quickly, and in a coherent manner.

It's a better version of fark if you follow the right people.

A much better version without clueless idiots (ahem)

Can not really stand Steven A or Bayless on their own; but kind of like hearing the 2 farktards arguing with each other. I heard the entire show Friday, unlike many here, and Steven A did not say anything bad at all. Beadle needs a midol and this pussyfied world we live in needs a reboot.

It has many stupid...elements...to it, but I actually like it. Facebook is what's more annoying to me, to be honest.

I still look back in fondness to the days of yore when ESPN didn't take itself too seriously. When I was 12 or so, watching my second or even third Sportscenter rerun episode in a row on a lazy summer morning was more entertaining than anything else on.

I think Twitter will be around long after Facebook has been forgotten. But now, back to the S.A.S bashing....

Maybe he should have written a web column or blog post....or anything where he could type more than 140 characters at a time?

2014-07-26 06:19:47 PM
I found his Twitter twaddle the most offensive aspect to this entire kerfuffle. Twitter is the last place a long-winded blowhard like Smith should spout his nonsensical drivel.

I'm Stephen A. Smith! Everythin' I say is IMPO'TENT!

2014-07-26 06:55:00 PM
Stephen A. Smith, quite frankly nobody cares what you have to say, under 140 or over 140 characters in length.

2014-07-26 07:17:07 PM
Screamin' A Smith....

It's also not the first time he mansplained domestic violence:  http://deadspin.com/i-do-not-believe-women-provoke-violence-says-step h en-a-1611060016

I also remember back during the kaepernick sexual assault allegations from earlier this year he said that if a girl had consented to sex in the past, then it was not sexual assault.

2014-07-26 07:19:24 PM
Actually, I just realized what is the saddest thing of this... that if ESPN were to suspend Stephen A Smith, his suspension would probably be longer than Ray Rice's.

Saddest in the sense the NFL has no balls... I don't agree with smoking weed, but a NFL player can be suspended 4 games for smoking weed, but knocking the shiat out of your spouse only lands you 2 games.

The Iggles' Lane Johnson is serving a four game suspension for PED use.  Shoulda smacked a biatch.

Yes.  I only see ESPN (and really, any TV) when I go to work out.  Invariably, they'll have Smith babbling his way through a question, taking two minutes to ask it, and then Bayless sitting there just being a cock.  How in the hell do they keep their jobs?  They are both exceptionally irritating on the best of days.

Personally, im with GTA V on this one

Because if they had balls they would acquiesce to social media outrage? Is it possible that they looked at a mutually violent situation and made the appropriate decision based on the circumstances?

no, if they had balls, they would consider domestic violence to be something that gets you a bigger ban than smoking weed.

It could get you released depending on the circumstances, ask Ocho. Maybe the league talked to all parties involved, and didn't only rely on what was reported in the media and decided what was appropriate based on the facts, not self righteous outrage.

The "victim" was a woman, not all women, and she decided to marry the guy and apologize for her role. Even though she has his kid and could live just fine off of child support.

He's sucked for years, I'm shocked anyone cares.

Ray Rice obviously beat a woman unconscious, the NFL failed and Smith is around them so he's trying to spin it and failed.

So what you're saying the only way we can get rid of the two is by murdering them?  You are a sick, sick person and should be locked up for saying that.

Nobody is getting banned for adderall. The NFL does not release what banned substance the player tested positive for. They all say adderall because that sounds better than the actual banned substance.

That's how I know you're a troll, I never post shiat just to get approval, I'm quite the opposite most of the time.

This is one of the few times I am with the main crowd though, two people go on an elevator and one comes off unconscious. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to know what happened but keep defending a scumbag.
