SQUEEEEEEE!!!

Frankly the best thing about the originals (which I think peaked at Evil Dead II) is their insanely frenetically paced slapstick.

Anything less than that pace would be disappointing and a series that actually matched that pace would probably be too exhausting to even watch and would kill the lead actor.

That said if you're looking for a fanboy to throw himself around a cabin breaking dishes over his head for basic SAG wages, I'm your man.

My body is ready.

Hopefully it's on HBO or AMC channels not afraid of a shotgun blast causing a swimming pool worth of blood to spray out of a wall. If it's fox or syfy.... people will die. Also base it off the comics there's only so much you can do with a cabin in the woods but have the evil spread around the world and through time like a really bloody and farked up Scooby doo? take my damn money.

Does that mean the reboot doesn't get a sequel? I liked it. Evil dead is a schizophrenic franchise. Reasonable horror and reasonable goofiness. Loved Army of Darkness for just that.
But I enjoyed seeing that universe without the ridiculousness in the reboot, or whatever it was. And Levy was goddamm creepy; I bought her performance.

More like Dr. Who with Shotguns.

For the record, Supernatural fills the hole of "Bloody Scooby Doo". They even time travel. However, it has Its Problems.

Lackofname: More like Dr. Who with Shotguns.

American Dr. Who with a sonic chainsaw and not as successful in saving the day without a few gallons of blood and body parts flying around.

Isn't Supernatural on the CW? That's worse than syfy at least on syfy it wouldn't have "knotting" fanfic made by women who need to be sterilized through a process not unlike a molten ball of nickel on a gummy bear.

I was thinking more like Stargate SG-1 where seasons dealt with one type of big bad then moved on to another big bad once the previous was beaten. So season 1 would be the cabin and the surrounding woods season 2 would go from the cabin to the nearby town and so on.

I just hope it doesn't suck and get cleaned up too much, all I'm asking for is dark comedy, and stock in Karo syrup manufacturers to go up based on demand.

Do not judge a property based on its fanfic, or it's network. Remember, Firefly was on Fox. I'm a straight dude and it's one of my favorite shows that's currently running. They do quite a few things that bug the hell out of me, but I still enjoy it.

I was ragging on the channel cause for a while there cw was nothing but tween/teen shows that take a subject and "twilight" it. Oh its a show about vampires? Great now its a soap opera about pale mopey bastards who hiss falling in and out of love, who might sometimes bite and drain someone but rarely as its on broadcast tv. So they can't show a third of the things vampires do to humans.

I just want Evil Dead as a show to never show it's face on broadcast tv, it'd be neutered like a barber trying to even out a haircut that turns into a buzzcut. Fox can suck it since they're more likely to air episodes out of order and cancel before airing half of them. Syfy can suck it as well since they'd do the same thing if it isn't a huge hit right off the bat and even then they'd move the show's air times around constantly to the point not even tivo could catch up. That's why I mentioned HBO and AMC True Blood for all  it's issues at least shows blood and gore, AMC isn't afraid of a chainsaw or a shotgun blast to a head with Walking Dead.

Technically the reboot was a loose continuation.  The two co-exist.  Technically the series could continue BOTH.

And, to bring the reference full circle ...

She appeared with Bruce Campbell in an episode of Brisco County, Jr. in 1993, "Mail Order Brides".

So she  really did have a brain tumor for breakfast?

Talk about irony!

The musical is still the best version of the story I've seen, but I'll give Sam & Bruce my attention for any more re-tellings they care to make.

Highlander was better than all the sequels combined. Steer clear of The Source, though.
