whizbangthedirtfarmer: Didn't they just say last year that she interacted or observed with EVERY incarnation of the Doctor at some point in time?

Not  that Clara, no. They sort of glossed over this, because well, honestly, they didn't reallythink it through, but the Clara timestream has left Clara shaped ripples in the Doctor's, but she wasn't really the one jetting around in his past.

All of NuWho has been sadly bad about actually making sense. Moffat is just more obvious about it, partially because he's much more idea focused. RTD didn't really care about plot, so long as the characters had a bit of a jog and a good chance to emote at each other. Moffat doesn't care about plot, so long as the characters have a bit of a jog away from a really complex idea that the writing staff didn't actually think through.

The leaked pilot demonstrates a lot of the problems with Clara- the Doctor starts ascribing her traits, like "control freak", even though we've never really seen her be a control freak. She doesn't even do anything particularly control freaky in the episode, but this is supposed to be a major driver in their relationship, suddenly. The actress is doing the best with what she's been given, but nobody seems to have any idea  who she is.

Let's see...pay $15 to see it at the local cinema or not pay and have it edited so BBCA can cram as many ads in as possible? Shut up and take my money!

oldfarthenry: Yay! I want to pay $15 to watch TV for 1-1/2 hours!

Seriously man, that's what the modern movie-watching experience is anyway.
Except I think at the theater you get more commercials.

It was cool for the 50th anniversary but this would get old fast as you said, its TV formatted for TV. Still if it makes money for the BBC which = more doctor who then so be it.
