He's about the last guy you'd ever take financial advice from.

SPY Magazine had his number back in the 80s in their exhaustive profile.

Most of his 'business accumen' consists of extracting usurious 'personal service fees' from all the
business deals he brokers.  He very, very rarely spends one penny of his own money on any of them.

Casinos are generally not considered a safe business. You never know when Granny is going to hit it big on the nickel slots and break the bank.

Eddie Adams from Torrance: Casinos are generally not considered a safe business. You never know when Granny is going to hit it big on the nickel slots and break the bank.

You're kidding, right?

Also yeah this guy is totally a serious bidder for an NFL franchise. Totally.

Here in Delaware our incompetent governor signed a deal to bail out our casinos for the NEXT THREE YEARS! Did the casinos have to open their books to prove that they were losing money? NOPE. Did the state get a promise that the gaming interests would keep the casinos open or not lay people off? NOPE. I'm a Democrat but our governor is a disaster.

So you agree he's a great businessman.

He is just trimming his business holdings so that he has the cash for his presidential run (and so not so much has to go into trust when he is elected)

So within a couple years Atlantic City is going to be reduced to a lighthouse, a Ripley's museum, a slum, and an elephant-shaped building two towns over.

skinink: The article says the Northeast is saturated with casinos yet Massachusetts may open some casinos in the next few years. The state should have opened these casinos years ago when there wasn't so much competition.

Sure, but they are belated attempting to recapture some of the revenue going to other states via the gambling idiot tax. Makes sense to do. I mean, if your citizens are foolish enough to dump a bunch of money in casinos, why not offer them opportunities to dump some of it in your coffers rather than connecticuts.

You are right that it should've happened years ago.
