""All I could see was this tidal wave  "
eyup, moron in a boat
at least she was smart enough to keep taping her stupidity
and then sharing it without editing out the sound ...

That was hardly a wall, subby.  But yeah, it was fun listening to her flip out.

2014-07-25 12:28:39 AM
She seemed to be freaking out a lot over a threat that never actually appeared to materialize.

2014-07-25 12:39:13 AM
"ICEBERG RIGHT AHEAD, WELL ACTUALLY, SORT OF OFF TO THE LEFT A BIT, NEAR THAT LAND OVER THERE, AND NOT SO MUCH AN ICEBERG AS AN ICE ARCH, RIGHT AHEAD....!!!"

Yeah, it looked like it might be scary at the beginning, but it petered out pretty quick.  It's also hard to tell how far away they were, how much zoom was on the camera, etc.

Jeez, I'm glad I'm not married to that shrill biatch.

Unless the deck of their boat is 100' off the water that wave wasn't very big.

2014-07-25 07:10:15 AM
That was way lamer than I had hoped.

This one is better

Throw that shrieking biatch overboard.

Is it just me or does anybody else wish Rick had turned hard left and watched her totally lose her shiat?

/I like drama

Rick should have pushed her in

And Rick might have had room to actually run.

Haha, that one actually does get hit by a wall of water, and the whole time some guy is totally loving it and keeps saying wow!

Run Lola Rick Run

And, had the big wave actually materialized, they managed to keep their boat in the worst possible attitude - more or less side on. I think his wife should have sat him down later and calmly explained the finer points of what "RUNRICKRUN" means.
I think he wanted to do the right thing - take the wave bow-on - but was paralysed by his wife's screaming.
Maybe Rick was hearing-impaired, or at least he is now.

I agree. Now if she had been screaming through that, I would completely understand.

Two Dogs Farking: Jeez, I'm glad I'm not married to that shrill biatch.

And Rick leisurely rows away singing

"I's the b'y that builds the boat
And I's the b'y that sails her
I's the b'y that catches the fish
And brings them home to Liza!"

As the wife loses her shiat.

Maybe he should explain to her what the word "run" means.
He should have stood up, tried running across the water, quickly died from the cold temperature of water, and had his tombstone say "We were in a boat and she told me RUN RICK RUN"

Next on "Rick's Wife," our protagonists are on vacation in Florida when Rick's wife, relaxing poolside, feels a small lizard brush against her leg.

This reminds me of one of Dr Goddard's nearly impossible finals quandaries in Mechanics.

To simplify the scene, imagine a large block of ice held above the water by a floating waddeva. The block of ice is dropped from a height. How much of a wave will it generate?

See, when the block is released the waddeva rises under the lighter load. The block hits the water and displaces the same volume just vacated, plus splashing it's kinetic energy. This non-displacement wave will decay in intensity according to a good old inverse square rule.

Panic much? Push that nutball overboard. Boating Rule #1: Only Hot Women(preferably drunk) wearing a maximum of a Bikini allowed. I assume this Banshee of a woman doesnt qualify for any of these criteria, so thats on you Captain.

Meh.

I've spent a lot of years surfing handling small boats in heavy seas. Unless this video *really* isn't showing us something, they were fine to stay right where they were, so long as their bow was pointed right towards the wave.

The guy was smart, to be safety conscious and pull away anyway, but her shrill panic was in no way justified.
