Tolerance does not require us to be tolerant of the intolerant, especially if the intolerant would destroy liberty. And make no mistake, those intolerant of gay rights want nothing less than to criminalize being gay.

This is like what, Issue #5 where Rubio's tried to stake out a unique, nuanced position that makes him appear smarter and more mature than he really is and failed miserably?

How many more must he fail on before even those that like him realize he's got the talent and acumen of toe cheese?

Look all I'm saying is that Ricky Ricardo's marriage to Lucy ball is an abomination onto the lord. Almighty God created the races white, black, yellow, malay, red, and Mexicubarican and he placed them on separate continents. And but for the interference with his arrangement there would be no cause for such marriages. The fact that God separated the races shows that he did not intend for them to mix. And please don't call me intolerant for pointing out these obvious facts.

Guys, we've come a long way, women can vote now, black people aren't property, and gay people can get served in restaurants.  Isn't that enough?  If we keep going further we're going to really hurt the feelings of the bigots in this country.  I mean isn't it time for a bigots right movement so that they can get equal treatment in the US.  The right to set back every advance in civil rights we make is a time honored tradition.

"I promise you even before this speech is over I'll be attacked as a hater or a bigot or someone who is anti-gay," Rubio said. "This intolerance in the name of tolerance is hypocrisy. Support for the definition of marriage as one man and one woman is not anti-gay, it is pro-traditional marriage."

What the fark? You want to treat homosexuals as second-class citizens because of your farked up backwards mythology. You want to deny rights to certain Americans and codify your religious dogma.

You are and intolerant bigot, you asshole. Stop being a disingenuous coward and come right out and say what you want - You want to treat some of your fellow Americans like second-class citizens because you think the Bible says so.

As far as "traditional" marriage... What was your wife's dowry? At what age did your parents arrange your marriage with another family in order to secure land and title?

This is the "best and brightest" of the GOP, huh?

I'd trust a crystal ball over a Kristal Ball but they're just writing down what he said, man. He's a homophobe GOP clown. You can find the same shiat on conservative websites. Thing is, they don't think what he says is wrong. That's the difference.

This intolerance in the name of tolerance is hypocrisy.

I've never claimed to be tolerant.  In fact, I'm massively intolerant of many things.  Discrimination based on sexual orientation I will never be tolerant of.  In fact, I consider gay rights to be civil rights.  You're actively trying to prevent my friends from being happy.  You sir can get f*cked.

Oh, you assumed I was some strawman bleeding heart liberal?  No, (like most people) I'm a moderate who doesn't use hate to divide people.  And there's way more of me than there are of you.

In other news:

"We are deeply compassionate," he said. "This country's always had a place for people who seek asylum from conditions, whether they be political or otherwise.
"The problem is, it has to be through a process," Rubio continued. "This nation - no nation - is capable of sustaining or absorbing mass migrations."

Rubio said that even the law regarding Cuban immigrants needs to be modernized in order to reflect changing times. He'd like to see more migrants granted legal status based on job skills, as opposed to giving preference more often to those who have family ties or who are seeking asylum.

"I fully recognize that's how my parents came in 1956, but the country and the economy is fundamentally different than it was 60 years ago," he said, "and our immigration laws have to reflect this."

2014-07-24 06:31:34 PM
Me, I'm very tolerant of ignorant bigots. I don't think there should be laws that limit the rights of ignorant bigots. They should be able to get married and have the same rights that the rest of us do, for instance. They have every right to be an ignorant bigot, and I support their right to be an ignorant bigot.

However, their right to be ignorant bigots ends where the lives of gays and women and anyone who isn't like them begins. As soon as they want to pass laws that hurt other people, then that's a problem. And it's not intolerance to put a stop to the efforts of ignorant bigots to hurt others, it's common decency.

Well, we know Republicans and conservatives consider using their own words against them as "gotcha journalism" and that all the ignorant, mean-spirited, hateful things they say aren't meant to be factual statements or are just taken out of context.

The real problem for Rubio is him and his party of proudly ignorant ideologues are being left behind by history... The only playbook they have only works with old, white, bigoted Americans and that demographic is getting smaller by the day.

They have to say incredibly stupid things like this to keep the knuckle-draggers (like our friend here) voting for them, but unfortunately for them, when they try to moderate their nonsense for a diverse, national audience they come across as exactly what they are - disingenuous, bigoted ideologues.

The hilarious part is, this is a problem entirely of their own making.

After listening to Marco Rubio's NPR interview, I truly despise the motherfarker.  He is a completely out-of-touch, hypocritical asshole whose only redeeming quality is knowing how to roll his Rs.

He seriously proposed a plan where children of immigrants should not be automatically given citizenship because it should be "merit" based.  Him.  The child of Cuban immigrants.  He is supposed to be the one reaching out to Latinos for the GOP, but his ideas only appeal to the angry white males that are sinking the party.

Raspil: i just don't understand how they think this is okay.  it's really disgusting.

It's really easy... They don't think homosexuals are equal to them. They see them as damaged or mentally ill or immoral.

They know they have to pay lip service to equality these days, but they certainly don't believe, otherwise they wouldn't be demanding that homosexuals be treated as second class citizen.

In short, they're cowards who don't even have the strength of their farked up convictions. They wrap their bigotry and hate in religious dogma and appeals to "tradition".

Frankly, I'd have a little bit more respect for them if they had the balls to say what we all know they really believe.

Good job. I'd like to add that these assholes use the Bible as pretense for their bigotry. I wouldn't be surprised if they supported the killing of gays as it says in Leviticus.
