I don't think I'd hire a reporter who would structure a sentence this way:

"????? I All Over Earth and Definitely Never On Another Planet"

Seems more like something Bizarro would write.

I came here to make a similar comment, but then I thought about some of the legitimate news articles I've seen lately.
You might not hire a guy with such terrible writing skills, but most national publications apparently would.

For some reason, I read Clark Kent as Christopher Reeve, and thought it was a bit late for that.

True Story:  When I was a SysAdmin for TRW, we had a user who really was named 'Clark Kent'.

He worked in the Publications department.

/Usernames were made up of the first six characters of your last name, followed by your first initial, and then an identifying number if the Name/Initial combination were not unique.  We had one guy - Joe Christie - whose username was 'ChristJ'.

//Then there was the poor sod whose name was - I *swear* I am not making this up - 'Polycarp Mgbueweu'.

... Have you ever read the short essay, 'Man of Steel - Woman of Kleenex', by Larry Niven?

It's anthologized in some of Larry's collections, but I found a link to an online copy:

And not only that, Niven got *paid* for it.

Larry (if you've never run into him before, he's a pretty good hard-science science fiction author - check out his 'Known Space' stories) had a fair number of interesting speculative essays where he would take an idea and explore it pretty much to destruction, often with a very tongue-in-cheek, or 'reductio ad absurdum' approach, if for no other reason than to humorously show the limits of logical analysis and extrapolation, and to spark some creative thinking in his readers.  (I hope you don't think Niven took 'Man of Steel - Woman of Kleenex *seriously*?  C'mon, it's just for laughs, poking fun at what happens if you take comic book situations and extrapolate them out to the limit.)

If you get a chance, check out his 'The Theory and Practice of Time Travel' and 'The Theory and Practice of Teleportation'.  Both essays are a fun read.

Those are the ones from my childhood.

I really know absolutely nothing about Martian Manhunter, aside from him being green.
