Thanks!

I have to give 99% of the credit to my friend Ed Serecky for his awesome photo and video skills.  I was just a chick driving a Corvette.  :)

The world owes a great deal to Detroit. It's farking amazing how much production came out of one city during WWII. Plus, Detroiters like Karl Probst did amazing work for the war:

The bankrupt American Bantam Car Company had no engineering staff left on the payroll and solicited Karl Probst, a talented freelance designer from Detroit. After turning down Bantam's initial request, Probst responded to an Army request and commenced work, initially without salary, on July 17, 1940.
Probst laid out full plans for the Bantam prototype, known as the BRC or Bantam Reconnaissance Car, in just two days, working up a cost estimate the next.

"Like England's battles were won on the playing fields of Eton, America's were won on the assembly lines of Detroit."

Except for those race riots in 1943.

It is pretty amazing.  It's also very cool to see what's happening down there now and how people are coming back to the city and enjoying it.

I was told Detroit was to be nuked. Wut happened????????????

Nice job guys! I'll be trying to spend a bit of time downtown this weekend, they have a pretty cool list of things going on.

There were some very nice shots in there. Good job on those nighttime shots. I would be careful with the music. I mean, it's not that I just don't like KISS. But unless you have the proper permissions I hear they are cracking down on people using copyrighted music lately.

Detroit is having problems. But I haven't given up hope. You got to hit bottom before you can bounce back. But, of course, it isn't as bad as "portrayed in the media." There still is activity in the city. I recently saw Eddie Izzard at the Detroit Opera House for example. But the key is to not be dumb. There is still a tendency to kill and eat the weak. You have to keep awake if you are outside of the "safe zones" (not an official term.)

Video I got last week of the song in that video being performed live along with Rock & Roll All Night and end of show pyro

It would only load about six seconds of video at a time. Goddamned Vimeo. Great quality, crappy performance. I gave up.

This warning is appreciated. I'll be careful to mute to protect my ears before clicking on the video.

Everything I have learnt about Detroit I got from Robocop or Fark. Therefore I refuse to believe that is Detroit. REFUSE!

Not once did the video say "We're not Cleveland!"  I feel like I missed something.

Nice work! Always glad to see people looking to the good that still exists in the D and not just focusing on the "urban decay" garbage you see all the time.

On that note, I need to get back down that way soon. It's been a while.

Happy 313th? Isn't America only 238?
