Figures I have to work and miss this.  Oh well, here's a pacedog I found, quick and dirty:

Are you not sports entertained?

(This image may be NSFW-ish, so click for this week's person asking if we are sports entertained)

And now, making a VERY RARE mid-week appearance:

Your weekly NASFARK checklist! Ever changing and updated on the fly, especially for this race... where's my line item veto pen?

(Created by   DanZero &   bluorangefyre, with contributions from Professor Farksworth, QueenMamaBee, Mzltplx, and a bunch of other Fark racing fans!)

1) Every 25th post is "DANICA," every 500 100th post is "CHECKERED FLAG Heat over!" and every 1,100th post is, "Screw the gredunza, I just did the double!"
2) Somebody asking "ARE YOU NOT SPORTS ENTERTAINED?" before the 10th post
3) Somebody comes in with a humorous "left/right turn/going in circles" comment
4) BOOGITY in some form when race starts
5) Idols/Buddhas/Transformers/Reactors being fired up
6) Complaints about LOLTNT & ESPN race coverage (or if in TNT/ESPN coverage, how bad it is and how we pine for FOX again) ONLY VALID FOR 2014!
7) While we were away!
8) Green flag Dirt track pit stops
9) The inevitable race commentator foul up
10) Phantom cautions
11) "Austin Dillon driving car number three... the number made famous by the late/great Dale Earnhardt."
12) MLP deployment ONLY in the following instances: sad Rainbow Dash when Princess Crumplefenders (AKA Danica) inevitably wrecks, happy Rainbow Dash if she's running in the top 20, charging Rainbow Dash if she's in the top 10, Nightmare Moon if we need some extra mojo to help the idols and Buddhas defeat car #48
13) Complaints and such if Jimmie Johnson wins again and celebrations from his fan(s)
14) Race is official when Kvapil, Reutimann, Wise or Danica bring out the caution (can be more than one)
15) BONUS OFFICIAL RACE: Mikey brings out the yellow

16) Something to do with potato salad and/or sugar free gummi bears
17) SPECIAL BONUS: One of us is actually at the track
18) Something not meant to catch fire does
19) We are reminded about how a track is famous for The Big One/Darlington Stripe/Eating tires/Fuel Mileage races.
20) "Because #3  car truck"
21) Race is boring... what are you drinking?
22) "Lord baby Jesus, smite Logano's engine!"
23) Somebody asking why they don't run in the rain followed by a quick explaination why its not a good idea, especially on dirt
24) Idol collateral damage warning
25) DanZero's commercial/side-by-side recap from last week and running throughout the thread

I enjoyed the race, but it remains to be seen if the novelty of it will wear off when they make it an annual event.

Note: Do not drink Busch all night at the track. It does not matter that they are $2, Saturday morning will suck.

It's just not as exciting if they're not sideways.

Oh God, is it taking rubber already?

Like I said before... How does the track look? Rained yesterday, right? A mechanic was quoted saying "I feel like I'm shoveling elephant shiat." Which... is not common in most forms of racing I watch.

It looks pretty dark.

I think it's drying out. Doesn't look muddy, looks pretty hard as a matter of fact.

Those heat races were great. Looks like the changes to the banking definitely opened up a lot more options for lines. The outside had an advantage for a while, but it's rubbered in now, while the bottom still seems to have some grip.

Does dirt "rubber up?" I have zero experience with dirt tracks outside of catching a random race on MAVTV or something. I know they were running a shiat load of practice and with the way they qualify here I guess it has a chance... I just don't know.

It can. And the hard clay at Eldora definitely does. By the end of last year's race the track was shiny and black.

Kyle Larson took some questions on Jalopnik today. I imagine the questions were a lot more colorful for Mayfield.

Wear sh*tty clothes, bring safety glasses and hold your hand over your beer. Earplugs are recommended as well, but that's SOP for races.

Warchild: NORM f*cking  BENNING

It really says something about NASCAR that tracks where talent means more than aero are such a rarity. Benning strikes me as the type who would have made an awesome Cup driver in the 60s and 70s. Sure, he wouldn't have won Daytona, but he would have kicked ass at North Wilkesboro, or even snagged a win at Darlington.

Thanks for the tip. There's a dirt track not far from here, but the work schedule does not comply.

You missed a hilarious clusterfark of a Last Chance qualifying race.

Is it really necessary to take a commercial break to advertise nothing but Fox programming and the sponsor of the race series

Boo. What happened?

I'd like to make a minor request for next time: mention that qualifying starts early in the headline. But, not the end of the world. That would be missing a Steelers game.

I'm new to this. Had no idea they qualify the same day. I just wanted a thread for this race.

I'm liking this year Steelers.

WOOOOOOOOOT Burton in the lead!

Spin and no yellow on a half-mile? You can tell this isn't an ordinary race.

NOW the caution comes out. Whyfor?

Car owners are really the ones dictating that. Parades are less likely to tear up equipment.

Of course the tire bill goes up.

I subbed a thread with the heat races in the title, but this one was probably already in the queue.

Either way, it was a fail race. Joe Cobb kept spinning out, and then everyone else started spinning out too. JWT actually looked competent in comparison. Norm Benning got bashed into the wall by some guy, but still managed to transfer in to the main.

All in all, I think we got something like 6 cautions for a 15 lap race.
