Not clicking because I don't want to see it, but I suspect he spills the beer.

It was surprisingly tame. He didn't even eat parking lot when the article says he ate parking lot. I expect mouth contacting lot when I read "eat parking lot". And I was originally thinking Jackass riding where you're actually in the cart.

Yeah, that's not even that exciting in the Facebook-o-sphere, let alone Fark. We only get like 3 or 4 videos a day, and this was one of them...

That riding technique would only work if you had a larger cart with a lot more beer in it, and pushed all the beer up into the nose so it counterbalanced your fat ass a bit more.

Why the hell does he have a cart in the first place? I'm born in the USA but even so, I have enough gumption to heft a six-pack and tote it all the way to the car all by my little lonesome, and I don't use one of those electric shopping carts and a handicapped sign either. I would expect Russians to jog to the package store in a blizzard, use an axe to chop off a 5-kilo block of beer and practice their curling on the way back to the dacha. Expect? Nay, I demand it.

It's what I was thinking. Beer to weight ratio and all. I do this all the time at the supermarket and use my sneaks as breaks. The old folks I pass run.

That was hardly "Russian".

A shopping cart actually full of beer would have been fine. That one was far from full.

Like the others said. A slight understanding of balance and where to place the weight could have made this a little less messy.

But......

Screw the gold record. The next voyager-like probe we shoot out to space should just have this video aboard. Yup. That is pretty much us. Interrogative primates trying to catch a buzz in a chamber of horrors. And failing. Stop by any time.

"Идиотами не рождаются" = "Idiots are not born"

Can any Russian speaker explain this idiom? In English this would probably be said in the positive - "Was he born stupid?"

I wouldn't call that a cart full of beer.  A 12-pack maybe, but not full.

Yeah, they're redesigning shopping carts not to have that bar. Really sucks when you're so used to it that you step up without looking to see if it's there first.

Terrible form.  You lean your upper-body over the basket and place your feet on the rear crossbar and use your heels as brakes/steering.

I think that it would still be somewhat negative in English: "people are not born idiots."

That is, that he had to learn somewhere along the way how to be an idiot.

I use the shorty carts, use the beer for ballast in the bottom rack. I can ride that biatch from the door to my car way in the back of the parking lot in about a minute.

This was my riding equipment in a warehouse where I worked 35 years ago.  It glided like a sled on snow, but the difficulty was, the back wheels turned.  You had to keep it going straight, or it would fishtail pretty hard.

I could really get it flying on the ultra-smooth warehouse floor.

Russian version:  Limps off with the rest of his beers

American version: Goes back into the store and demands a fresh pack. (Seen it happen on more than one occasion)

/When I was a kid I did the same thing inside Kmart (empty cart). Gripped the handle and smashed most of my fingers on the floor
but no real damage. Really glad no one saw me.  I hope.

The Costco carts are pretty good for riding. Don't think I would try it on anything smaller though.
