And I could totally talk Morgan Smith Goodwin, Kari Byron and Emma Stone into a reverse gangbang with me if I ever got them in a room together.

It's just some ESPN New York knob-slobber.  It doesn't have to be plausible.to get some clicks.

They should bring Tebow back. Just for the media coverage.

The Jets should play Clemson each week. Problem solved.

/Needs Tavon for the jet sweep.

Or Baylor. 650+ passing yards in that one. Against a garbage defense.

I don't think either of those are too likely, optimistmitter.

The Jets already are "special"

Hey now, Eric Decker is a lock for 50 catches for 400 yards and 4 touchdowns so go ahead and pencil in that 11-5 record.

Jets will start out winning their first three games, will then drop four in a row, and finish up with a .500 record plus excuses on why they missed the playoffs again.

Nah, he'll put up good numbers. #1 guys on bad teams generally do well with no TDs or wins to show for it. Especially in the modern NFL.

I expect figures close to what Kendall Wright or Harry Douglas put up last season. 80-90 catches, a little less than 1100 yards, and about 2 touchdowns.

It's just that I wouldn't want to disappoint a dolphin.

It's their own fault for getting rid of Sanchez.  Dude takes them to back-to-back AFC championship games and they just let him go.  Quarterbacks capable of winning playoff games on the road don't grow on trees you know.

Why are people shocked by this. The Jets were 8-8 last season with the worst WRs in the NFL and a rookie QB who was terrible for much of the season. If Geno Smith played like he did the last 4 weeks of the season, the Jets probably would have won 11 games last year (Not to mention he was awful without his #1 WR... who was Jeremy Kerley).

This statement isn't unreasonable or unsurprising.

Having good footwork is key to becoming a Jets starter.

Well done.

Ok, so the Jets get a wildcard and first round exit if Smith plays halfway decent. Woohoo. They aren't the Browns, that shouldn't be good enough, especially where they were with the Sanchize at QB.

skinink: Jets will start out winning their first three games

Hmm.. lets see
Raiders
Packers
Bears

I doubt they'll win their first three.  The first one yes, but not the first three.  Lets see the rest of the schedule
Lions
Chargers
Broncos

I have them at 3-3 through 6

Pats
Bills
Chiefs

4-5

Steelers
Bills
Dolphins

6-6

Vikings
Titans
Pats

8-7

Dolphins

8-8

Okay I can see them finishing .500, but it could easily be 6-10 as well.  I don't see better than 9-7.

The Jets seem to always finish 7-9 or 8-8, regardless of how awful the team looks on paper. Props to Rex Ryan for managing to keep them afloat in the Geno Smith/Rotting Corpse Of Chris Johnson era.

Seriously, if I took the Jets at face value over the past three or four seasons, there's no way in hell I would've given that team 5 teams in any of those seasons. Somehow, Rex has managed to keep that team mediocre when their roster has been a complete dumpster fire. For Christ sake, he coached Butt Fumble himself to two AFC Championship Games.
