I can't wait to see what the senate GOP does with her cabinet nominations.

Me, too. Warren's expertise is too narrowly focused to be president, but she would make a damned fine advisor or cabinet member. She actually sees and understands what's happening to the middle class of this country, which is unheard of in the upper ranks of Washington politics. If the right person were president, Warren could prove invaluable in cluing-in the administration to what's going on. Also, it would be fun to watch Rupert Murdoch's Fox News weenies, as well as the pro-business folks over at CNBC, blow their tops every time Warren made some kind of public statement in an official capacity.

She can scream NO until she's red in the face but a lot of people would probably consider her for the ticket, if not the presidency. We'll see what happens when the Dems get together for their big pow wow. Like Hillary, the GOP seems hellbent on doing a hatchet job on her but they've not been very successful.

Either way, she's definitely got spirit. She'd make a great Commander in Chief.

I bet Angela Merkel would let President Warren give her a back rub.

NO.  She needs to stay right the fark where she is.  Why?  Because the CFPB is going to keep coming under GOP assault .  They are costing big banks a lot of money by making the world more fair for consumers and Wall Street and the GOP is Furious.   Right Now all they can do is wail an gnash their teeth because they can't cut CFPB's budgets (Congress gets no say in the money CFPB gets) and as an Independent Regulatory Agency it is free off all sorts of strictures and controls on its rulemaking as well.

the House has several times this session passed laws that would gut the CFPB by brining it under the appropriations process (whereupon they will starve it to death)   or by replacing the director with a 4  or five man commission with representatives from both parties (like the FEC and other paralyzed watchdogs)

The have gone nowhere in the Senate because Dems are in the majority, but that could change.    Which is why Lizzie either needs to be president herself in in a position to filibuster the shiat out of these bills.    Hillary will sell the CFPB out in a heartbeat, she's already proven herself wall-street's pet.

No she wouldn't. She can't work deals and she's not electable. I really do love her but she would have to be a fool and a psychopath to run for that office.

I wonder if a president has ever gone back to being a senator or a house rep after being the president? I think Obama should try it.

Yes, but not in a long time.  John Quincy Adams went back to the House 2 years after losing re-election, and Andrew Johnson went back to the Senate several years after finishing Lincoln's second term.  I'd love Obama to go to the Senate again.  But he won't, of course.

John Quincy Adams successfully ran for a House seat after being President, and Andrew Johnson served as a Senator after his Presidency. William Howard Taft was appointed to the Supreme Court about 10 years after serving as President.

(John Tyler successfully ran for a seat in the Confederate House of Representatives a couple of decades after being President, but we don't like to talk about that one.)

She couldn't have joined the Republican Party based on that. According to many Republicans, women can't say no.

what's left of the left-wing democratic party and progressive republicans who reject the center-right "New Democrat" label Clinton foisted on America in 1992? Hillary was on the board of directors of wal-mart and tyson. She's no friend of the people.

No, not yet. She's doing great where she is and I want her to stay. She's one of the few Politicians I think can actually make somewhat of an impact. She's done great so far and her message is great. I don't want her to waste what she's done on some doomed primary.
