You can fit a lot of quail into a house cos they are small, like roaches.

Never understood hunting quail.. so small.. would need 10-15 for a good chow down.. and EVIL as hell.
Hunting with a buddy year ago and we went our separate ways with a time to meet back at truck. I was making my way back, in a large, level area and heard a noise... could see quite a ways other that scatter of large brush, "Richard?? Stop screwing around man - not funny... get yourself shot!"
Very rare to hear of people encountering bears around here (altho I have seen one, but it was at night) and I immediately got in my mind BEAR! even tho I could see a good distance and logically, there could be no bear.
Walked some more, heard some more... "Dammit Richard!"  Walked some more and heard something by a large bush right next to me and I froze... "RICHARD!?" and up came a huge black mass (bear to me) and I drop down and crack off all 10 shots.... quail start dropping, feathers flying. LOL
One lands right in front on me and isn't even bleeding? I pick it up and it just sits in my hand and take it back to truck.. Richard is running up wanting to know wth happened.. show him bird, he's holding it, then hands it back and GUSH, it starts bleeding like crazy (apparently creased it under feathers) and it was gone in less than a minute.
Anyhow - they're evil, mean lil bastards. Cute little soulless black eyes and blink too much.  I think the blinking is them laughing because you thought it was a bear... asshole birds.

What an infestation of House Quail may look like

/ These vicious house bird vermin were discovered under the range hood of what looked like an otherwise clean kitchen.

The penguin was on the telly, but then, sadly, it exploded.

Was the parrot a Norwegian Blue ?
Beautiful plumage

/I saw Monty Python's last (probably) show yesterday. Today everything is a Python reference.
