a Guinness World Record for "most tattoos of the same cartoon character tattooed on the body"

Apparently this is a thing. Who knew?

"Weir told Guinness that he paid for the tattoos with money he saved abstaining from booze for a year."

There are some positive things to be said for living your life as a drunken slob and ruining your liver.

So...to simply get in the book nowadays, you simply have to have the "most tattoos of XXXXX tattooed on the body"?

I remember when you actually had to DO things.

2014-07-22 11:33:38 AM
You know what?  it's pretty good, and a lot better than some of the other stuff I see covering peoples bodies.  Something you can actually show your kids or grandkids.

D'Oh? Who's Homer Simpson?

/I don't get it.

2014-07-22 11:35:57 AM
So his dad never let him watch the show and he's rebelling against that at 27!?

2014-07-22 11:36:11 AM
Looking forward to watching the first ten seasons of it on the new cable channel Fox has planned for it.

Kind of silly obviously but at least it's a well-colored cohesive sleeve. I wonder about these celebs walking around looking like they picked random shiat off the tourist wall with no plan.

Broke my record of having 39 tattoos of Snarf from Thundercats dammit

/I think I should win by technicality because each is a Kama Sutra pose with Scrappy Doo

Technically the Mr. Sparkle tattoo is not Homer.

Weir decided to get the tattoos in part because his father, who he described as a "real-life Ned Flanders" (Homer's annoyingly nice neighbor on the long-running animated series),

Daddy Issues: Not just for strippers any more.

Oh yeah? Well I am in the record book for fewest numbers of Homer Simpson tattooed on me.

The first ten seasons? Please, quality went downhill after the first animated short on the Ullman show. Anyone who watched after that short is an idiot, they should have cancelled it after that.

Is there a world record for the book with the most useless world records in it?

Impressive, he has a nice sleeve of tats that can be covered with a shirt and none on his face.

I think the Guinness Book of World Records exists to entertain 4th graders and those of similar intelligence and interests. I remember thinking as a kid that nearly everyone must hold a world record of some type. For example, greatest distance traveled on a Back to the Future skateboard while balancing on a left foot and holding a severed barbie doll leg in your right hand and reciting the German vowels. I think I hold that record.

If you can think of it, there is a record for it.  And by that I mean, if there isn't one yet, and you make one, there is a record for it.

That's what many people do, if you can believe it.  They actually LOOK for something that's not in the book yet.  Then, they go out and perform the stunt.  Tada!  I'm in the record book!!!

The best Homer Simpson tattoo is that one where they made a chick's bald beev look like Homer's mouth.
