Good luck, cats have technology to evade detection.

I'm unimpressed. Back when I was growing up some crazy bastard would compile a list of the phone numbers and addresses of everyone in my town and drop it off on my doorstep once a year.

That used to happen to me too, was freaking weird. Parents would complain to the cops, but they always laughed at us and just told us to drive safe.

/is my tinfoil hat too tight?

Wait, people geotag their photos?

ArcadianRefugee: Wait, people geotag their photos?

Some devices put GPS information into the EXIF info.

// Which is why you should strip exif tags (or just the lat/long) from photos you post (many sites do it automatically, whereas other sites leave it in because seeing the EXIF data of a good photo can actually teach people how to take better photographs)

// Wonders if thumbnails still get saved in the file or if that chaged after cat schwartz had that cropping faux pas.

// just another case of people not knowing WTF they're doing with technology.

Most phones will geotag your photos automatically if you say Yes when it asks you if you want to save location info in your pictures. There are even gallery apps that will automatically group your pics together into events based on where they were taken, and even automatically name the event based on where the map says you are.

It's also on by default in a lot or most of phones. Which is why aware users turn off all that crap, the location services (gps) the crap- and bloat-ware. Kills the battery, as well as your privacy.

Facebook does strip geotags from photos, fortunately. At least from the copies users can download.

lots of rigs and large transport ships have ship cats. They help to keep the rat population down. :)

Those are cheshire cats; they vanish when you zoom in on them.
