Fun Fact:

The original location of Sloppy Joe's is now home to Captain Tony's.

/Recommend stopping by both places.

Really? It's Hemingway. It's either a daiquiri or cognac

Ah...now I get it.

Here we are, in a Key West thread, and I take things seriously and recommend some local places, and you start things off with a tasteless joke.  You are bad and you should feel bad.

/I chuckled.

Here in New Orleans we celebrate the Running of the Bulls by heading downtown at 6 am to get shiatfaced on sangria before running through the streets getting "gored" by "bulls"; and by that I mean smacked around by chicks on roller skates with plastic bats.

Things like this are why I am never, ever leaving this place.

Oh, Florida, you cwazy!

Winner gets to box an Ernest Hemingway look-alike.

It used to be "throw a sucker punch at Muriel Hemingway" but she quickly became unfindable*.

*This is a real word. It's in the dictionary.

I would have thought "running of the bears" would be a better idea for Key West.

On my bucket list is putting together a funeral for a fictitious person. But convincing everyone in attendance that they knew someone who knew that person.

So when the time comes to toast his/her/its existence, you start stacking on more and more incredulous feats.

Then, to top it off, stage and argument about those incredulous feats.

I'd move to KW but the wife has "family" which is somehow more important than a slow paced life + never being cold.  Go figure.

If you haven't been, Key West has a very French Quarter vibe. However, instead of being surrounded by crack town, you're surrounded by beaches.
