Wow, almost didn't make it through the intro, let alone into the video itself.

"intense"

Bit'O'Gristle: i laughed, i cried, i barf'd.

I definitely pee'd a little from laughter

That was almost as bad as System of a Down.

Everyone needs a hobby, I guess.  Why Gormley didn't take up amateur taxidermy is beyond me.

2014-07-20 09:14:27 AM
Can't decide which is worse: the video or the song

Even the "eye-candy" chick look bored.

2014-07-20 09:17:28 AM
I feel sorry for everyone involved in the making of this video.

2014-07-20 09:23:52 AM
I honestly think somebody with money and talent should record this song.  He isn't a great singer and the music and video are laughably cheap but the song itself isn't awful. I don't know if it would  be good either, but that is why somebody else needs to do it so we can judge fairly.

2014-07-20 09:27:34 AM
I liked how the sound guy tried to hide the vocals behind the music.

Pfffft! that's nothing.
This chick used to have a HORRIBLE video on youtube of this song.

We could get the both of them to sing a duet, the resulting tear in space time would destroy the universe.

2014-07-20 09:45:07 AM
That was INTENSE.

2014-07-20 09:51:27 AM
Its not nearly as bad as  Pardon Me by Maxine Swaby, but it was bad.

2014-07-20 10:02:57 AM
Was that Jeff Foxworthy channeling Uriah Heep?

2014-07-20 10:08:53 AM
So the joke is that the song starts at :30.

2014-07-20 10:10:21 AM
There's lots of music worse than that.

The music is bland and inoffensive, the vocals aren't horrible, some vocal training could really help, though I understand that 70s type vocal style isn't very popular.   The video though is Tim and Eric territory.

bearded clamorer: That was almost as bad as System of a Down.

System of a Down is a great band all around, but I definitely see the similarities in the vocals.

What I don't understand is the "How long can you make it through this song" bit. It's not like it's an offensive sound. It's just light chords played quietly behind a gentle voice.

WHAT? You mean there were people who had never experienced the awesome power of the Gormly Power Stance?!

Bask in its greatness. Become one with this man's unmitigated masculinity and desperate sensitivity. Revel in the subtlety of his romantic lyrics. But by all means, become one with the POWER STANCE.

Mind you I hate that show

There's a hot chick in the following segment at the end as a prize if you manage to sit through the whole thing.

If Linkin Park recorded this as a filler song for an album, maybe adding a standard screaming chorus/hook to it, the song would blend in just fine.

Sounds a lot like early Europe (fun fact: Final Countdown was released twice.  The well known version is the second polished version).  If you never saw Mark it would simply be a forgettable but tolerable song/video.  But Christ that maybe the most un-photogenic man on the planet. And I know when I think power ballad I think khakis and pastel polo shirts.

You can find lots of homemade crap out there. This is pretty spectacular, but remember ultimately it's a step up from basement karaoke.  If you want to take a power drill to your ear, here's a song that was a mainstream video from a popular recording artist. Someonepaid her to produce this dreck.

From the Caption: It's about heartbreak and loneliness. That's why the video includes lonely, desolate places.

Noted.

That would have actually been funny if the guy was wearing an 80s metal hair wig and was hamming it up.

I didn't know those "make your own music videos" stores in the mall still existed though.
