I don't know...I used to think a chick hitting me in the junk with a hammer would be off-putting...

Yeah, I don't usually hit my phone with a hammer whilst it's in my pocket.

If I was hit by a hammer I think my phone going kerblooey would be the least of my problems.

How many of those phones power the terminator?

Obviously not an old school Nokia.

Looks like a cheap $20 Chinese knockoff.  I wouldn't be any less surprised if the shrapnel contained bits of lead and melamine.

I kept waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting ... and it was the best thing I've seen all day.   Totally worth the wait.

I think I'll just rethink whacking my battery with a hammer. Next up a video showing what happens when you touch a lit match to gunpowder.

I'm not sure how swapping from the left pocket to the right would help me in this situation, subby, and there ain't no way in hell it's going 'round back.

There's an XKCD comic about overcharging a laptop battery and breaching the cells, but I'm too lazy to look it up.

That's it.  Ban phones from all flights.  Effective immediately.

This is the China equivalent of CIA.  The highly skilled lab technician was testing out their latest shielding device technology against exploding cell phones.

Last time I checked, getting wacked with a hammer was not a recommended practice for either a cell phone or the human body.

It's kind of like saying, look what happens when we stick dynamite in the trunk of this car, you might want to rethink where you park next time.

Meh.

Try Lithium Polymer batteries.
(Have a bucket of sand handy.)
