Because both left exceptional marks on the game of baseball to be studied by scholars and sycophants for years to come.

/Bronson wants you to come to his band's show this weekend.
//It's the only income he has.

Not true - he's on the DL, had Tommy John surgery on his UCL. He's just shy of 150 wins, which isn't bad considering how obscure he's become.

And until this season, he had never gone into the DL.

Arroyo was always great the first half of the season, but sucked balls the second half.

Better than Matt Clement and Willy Mo Pena.

I don't care if hitting home runs is literally the only thing he can do, i miss Wily Mo playing in the States, damn it.

Wily Mo is on the short list of dudes who was unreal in MVP Baseball but actually pretty crappy at the game in real life. See also: Juan Pierre, and 2004-era Zach Grienke. Pierre was a triples machine and Grienke, when he was still a Royals scrub, had an absolutely unhittable curveball. Wily Mo could mash.

My personal favorites: I won a triple crown in season mode with Erubiel Durazo (swear to god) and Eric Byrnes hit 50 home runs for me in a platoon only against lefties.

That's the coolest farking story ever. Can you tell me some more?

The pitcher laughing his ass off for the beachball he threw to Wily really makes the clip.

Boston might have been better off getting Adam Dunn.

Details of Bronson Arroyo's current contract:
2014:$9.5M, 2015:$9.5M, 2016:$11M club option ($4.5M buyout); if traded, 2016 option increases to $13M

Do you not realize that MLB contracts are guaranteed money?  If he doesn't throw another pitch, he'd make $23.5M.

Also remember that Bobby Bonilla, who hasn't played a MLB game since 10-7-2001, will continue to get a pay check totaling $1,193,248.20 every July 1st until 2035. He is getting these payments because the Mets didn't want to pay him $5.9 million to go away in 1999.

To read about how smart this actually was for the Mets check out this article...  http://www.businessinsider.com/chart-contract-new-york-mets-bobby-bon i lla-2013-7
