Anybody else notice the new GOP tactic of pretending they are not GOP candidates?
Some asshat is already running TV campaign ads in Minnesota and somehow forgets amid his pile of kids and puppies that he is Republican.
All the farkers coming to my door will only admit GOP connection if you pin them down with the correct questions.

Stupid is as stupid does

If we nominate Coakley, we deserve a Republican governor.

yeah.  they never had a Republican governor before.  just like that super liberal NJ.  No Republican governors here either.

That was the Beta Romney. They removed the socialist medicine feature in Romney 1.0.

I would be ashamed to admit it too.

massachusetts has a well established reputation for electing republican governors.  this is only surprising to people who aren't from massachusetts who aren't familiar with the large blue-collar conservative population.

There's tea baggers in my town just outside the 128 belt. And they run the local Republican Town Committee.

I won't. But I certainly won't vote for Martha Coakley, because she is bad at her current job, so I don't think she should get a promotion.

When the fark did South Boston extend so South?

Remember when she lost to Scott Brown a few years ago in the Senatorial race? She figured she had it wrapped up and a week before the vote, she had to scramble to slow the tide. Next thing you know, Scott Brown was the Senator. Of course he only lasted one term, but hey...he did it.

While Massachusetts has a reputation for liberal politics, it had a string of four Republican governors including Mitt Romney, who went on to become the 2012 Republican White House contender, before current Governor Deval Patrick took office.

Gee subby, I don't know.  Maybe Massachusetts isn't the ultra-liberal dystopia you've created in your head.

Because they are one of the *very* few people lucky enough to have to worry about their heirs actually paying "the death tax".

A functioning brain? A memory that exists more than a few years? A fairly decent understanding of politics and history?  A disdain for authoritarian government? Just the top reasons off the top of my head.

For the same reason that anyone would go to the polls to specifically vote Democrat? For the flag under which that ship is sailing. Why else? The platform stopped mattering a long time ago.

They didn't. I think she came in third at the convention. I've never met anyone who is excited by her. But for some reason, the Democratic party heads in MA are really into her. I'm not sure why.

Establishment Democrats are way more in command of their party than Establishment Republicans are of theirs.  She's the Establishment's picked candidate who will do what they want.  That's why she's being foisted upon an uninterested electorate.

Stile4aly: The answer is that Massachusetts Republicans would be considered Democrats in any red state.

And vice versa.

Back in the day, the Democrats ran the State House (Whitey's brother was Senate President) and the Republicans were a non-entity. You could have liberal Republicans run for office -- John Volpe, William Weld, Edward Brooke. That's because the Democrats had two factions: the stereotypical liberals and the Blue Dogs that were closer to today's Tea Party.

It looks like Massachusetts is back to an active two-party system, and I wouldn'( be surprised if the Blue Dogs became Republicans.

I hope she loses.  Massachusetts deserves to suffer through a republican governor for giving us Scott Brown.

Not going to happen though.  This poll is an outlier and STILL has her winning.

Face it libtards, you had your time and you screwed it up royally. Obamacare is a miserable failure of a system that will be defunded as soon as PAUL Ryan gets into office in 2016, the supreme court is now ruling correctly for the true American Christian people to keep them from having to subsidize your personal abortion lifestyle, and we now have prayer back in Government, thanks to that brave man in Iowa.

Repent, Sinners. Your time is neigh!
