Hard to fit "Ludicrous 'Mary Sue' Wish-Fulfillment Fantasy of Producer Who Was Picked On in High School But Really Would Have Been Super-Popular if Only the Jocks and Preps Had Gotten to Know Me" on even a double-decker bus.

I'd say just not show "Glee" in the UK, but since they exported Oasis and the Spice Girls to us, they deserve this kind of payback.

I saw it as a sad, extended attempt to capture 1% of the awesome that was the Buffy musical episode.

Had it stayed the edgy "Freaks and Geeks" humor of the first season --- sigh. But then it became popular....

Yeah. The first season was surprisingly good and much funnier than I was expecting. Season two was pretty much what I'd initially thought it was going to be and I stopped watching.

This.

The first season was actually a good, occasionally edgy, take on high school life. But then, Ryan Murphy realized the real money was in selling iTunes.

"Experimenting with bulimia, are we?"
"I tried. But my gag reflex doesn't seem to work."
"Well, when you get older, that will turn out to be a gift."

They permanently filthied the Billboard with their derivative covers, so any punishment due them is long overdue.

So some comedy club in England names itself after the high school glee club, and then successfully sues an American show about a high school glee club?

Is there some fancy, bad-toothed British logic justifying this conclusion?   Can high schools now sue the comedy club?  Who in the world is going to confuse an international TV show with a local comedy club chain?       Who still goes to comedy clubs?

England, get over yourselves.  Your national celebrities aren't really celebrities.  Your hit TV shows are not hits.  Your comedy clubs are absolutely irrelevant.  Your pop culture ends at the border.  And you have bad teeth and horrible food.

I'd say, stop airing Glee in England.  Simple.  Done.

I guess I'll have to mention the origin of the word glee, vis-a-vis singing - gives the show, not the club, priority.

So this is going to get appealed and by the time the appeal is ruled on this coming final season will be over. So who cares?

On Netflix they can call it "the Show Formerly Known as Glee."
