Is the Obvious tag out stocking up on canned goods and toilet paper?

The things that are responsible for creating what we consider to be the most scenic landscapes (earthquakes, volcanoes, landslides, floods, hurricanes, etc.) also happen to be things that aren't very nice to humans and/or the buildings we put in their way. They're also responsible for the landscapes that make agriculture and cities possible. Tornadoes are about the only thing I can think of that don't really serve an otherwise useful purpose for natural systems or creating landscapes beneficial to us, but they're limited to a small portion of the planet and are really only a hassle for humans and our livestock.

And the quakes are blamed on Obama in the comments. Wish I was kidding.

Wisconsin and Minnesota don't suck. The other 6? Yeah.

Also kinda strange that Illinois is in the high risk category and Wisconsin and Iowa are in the lowest risk one.

There is a major fault line that runs through the area with the southern tip of Illinois and Missouri, then the western parts of Kentucky and Tennessee.

And Elijah Wood, FWIW.  And James T. Kirk, Riverside's only claim to fame, ever.  I've been there, and it's obvious they know it, considering the farking starship on the town sign.  Wait, that isn't helping my case, is it.

Uh, Iowa: Two Brazillian Years Tidal-Wave Free
