Their FAQ says they're looking into fitting a solar panel. I know you could only probably fit about 20W worth of PV on there, but considering the nature of the product, and where and how it would be used, that's inexcusable.

Ladies like blenders because it lets them make loud noises when their voices get tired.

Yeah, that's pretty cool. It's not something I'd buy, as I'm not the outdoorsy type (and, being in an apartment in the city, I have no yard to speak of). Still, it's impressive that you can utilize space like that.

/This sort of gadgetry makes me think of the World of Tomorrow and other society concepts

Nice and all but it is bugging me that he said regular coolers break easily. Most coolers are made out of pretty thick PVC to insulate and are basically indestructible short of dropping them on the highway. This thing I'm not sure could even fall off a tailgate and survive.

Can't afford to buy an advert on Fark?

I don't know. I don't want a blender. I'd rather my phone run out of batteries (in an emergency, I have other backups than my cooler). I already have some tupperware and ziploc bags. A waterproof bluetooth speaker? Fine, I guess. I don't have one of those, but that's because I don't really want one. Extra wide wheels for a cooler that, filled with ice and beer, probably weighs 30 lbs? It looks the same size as my cooler that doesn't have wheels. I can carry it anywhere I need to go. Sometimes I do have to make a second trip though.  Bungie catches on each side are a good idea though.

OK, this guy wants to build a party on wheels. He needs a much bigger cooler. That thing might hold a case of beer with ice. It needs wheels copied off the mars rovers specs. It needs a 300 lb load rating which is readily pulled along on a loose sandy beach. It needs a generator hooked up to the wheels for the battery. It needs a stand so that the wheels can be rotated manually while stationary. The battery needs to power some additional cooling for when the ice is gone. Lose the blender. Modify its engine so it can roll coal. There. Problem solved.

Optional, jumper cables to the car battery to power the freezer.

It's news to me, so shaddup. :P

/especially if you want that beer I owe you :)

chitownmike: A $200 cooler? fark you!

No, it's a $200 cooler/blender/boombox/usb-charger/something-something.

I mean, it's a sight better than $43 pot noodle or $3300 socks.

He built-in a Jambox to the Cooler... meh.  Blender is a nice touch but $200?  Wow

So he has $6M pledged of a $50K goal.  Does he put the $50K towards the cooler and get to pocket $5,950,000 making him an instant 1%-er?

Here's a serious portable blender.

i.imgur.com"This hardcore portable blender is powered by a 4-stroke, 23cc gas engine that quickly revs up a quart of blended icy drinks in its detachable stainless steel pitcher. Simply grab the handlebars, open up the adjustable throttle and blend away. Great for camping, tailgating and big parties, but I wouldn't use it in the kitchen."

lmao I came here hoping to see someone mention how awesome yeti coolers are.. Yeti coolers are overpriced garbage!  You can get a cooler of the same quality for half the price of a yeti. It is the Iphone of the cooler world!

I don't get the why of a portable blender, but I don't drink alcohol.  Every mention I have ever heard concerning bringing along a portable blender anywhere seems to be centered around slushy girly drinks.  Make it a removable module, and sell other devices to plug into its' place, and you start to get my interest.

meanwhile, I have the standard big cooler, and a mid-size cooler like this:
cdn.dealsdirect.net
Except the cooler has the reverse color scheme.  The mini chairs are still blue, and fold up to store under the table leaves.  And a mini cooler like this:
www.custom-product.com
The radio works really well.  As a fan of gadgetry, I can probably handle the rest of the Coolest's features with little trouble.  Who doesn't already have powered mini speakers, keychain flashlights, and whatever you personally use for picnics or cookouts?  Switchable appliance modules, solar panel trickle charger, and table leaves like my mid-size, and you have the Coolest 2.0 right there.
