Do they get into the physics of mudhole stomping? The ratio of people who climb the ladder vs. those who become a star? The effects of being whipped like a government mule on someone's bah gawd family?

when you go to the class, does the TA keep talking about some app while the Professor is busy writing something on the board?

That both are overwhelmingly male in make-up, while every pretense of masculinity is a carefully constructed fiction?

I am fairly certain I would play the role of the heel in that class and either be insanely smarky or marky depending on the class make up.

Quack will be in town this weekend.  He should probably have him come in if he wants to do his subject justice.

I definitely agree with that.  If anybody can talk about wrestling as performance art, it's Mike Quackenbush.  Hell, he can basically crib his entire lecture from the comments he made on Colt Cabana's podcast.

And then have New Jack come in....

Is the 3pm lecture randomly interrupted when a different TA stages a run-in, clocks the first TA with a calc book, and runs out through the crowd?

He's got plenty of backing. Wrestling's been around over 100 years and has survived the jumps from live shows to radio to TV, cable and the internet. It's a modern passion play.

I think you need to have something about being circus in there too but you definitely have a good handle on it.

I thought this part of the syllabus was interesting;

Official WWE Involvement
World Wrestling Entertainment has taken an active interest in this course and are sending a few guest speakers up throughout the course of the semester. The intent is for the class to provide a link with WWE, in that they are interested in the trajectory of our research throughout the semester, as well as our term paper projects. WWE is particularly interested in better understanding their fans and their fans' relationship with the WWE product and are interested in conversing with us on this account. Throughout the semester, there may be times for class discussion or debate through e-mail regarding questions posed by the WWE. All interaction with the WWE is voluntary on students' part and is not mandatory for graded coursework.

Need to get an fwc member in this class!

I volunteer Dougie AXP and Hobblekitty!

Oh, and I'd also send Bobby_and_the_Gorilla, MLBA, and Supercampion to sit in the back row of class and pass snide remarks.  xD

Can't you just sit in on a class for free?  It was good enough for Matt Damon in Good Will Hunting, it's good enough for you.

That is why I like the circus analogy. Even a bad circus is fun to be at and watch.
