I think gin has contributed more creativity than marijuana.

Just look at all those famous artists who drank themselves to death or committed suicide under the influence of a real good gin.

Interesting political aside in the article:

She very courteously warned me that she may have to hang up abruptly to take shelter if a missile alarm goes off, as has been happening at her Tel Aviv medical center. "Would it be better to talk later?" I asked, dumbly. "There is no later. This is how we're living."

I usually intend on eating and watching something. But I clean when I'm high. No idea why, I just find it very relaxing. Either that, or walk across the street to the beach with a book.

My creativity pill comes in the form of my wife. If I'm out half the damn night without letting her know, I become very creative when I finally walk through the door.

2014-07-18 03:15:53 PM
The key to being creative is not giving a f*ck. If you give a f*ck you will hold yourself back. You can drink and do drugs, but if you worry someone is going to hate on you, you will hold yourself back. You can't be scared. All of this is easier said than done.

I don't see how birth control, incontinence and acne pills have anything to do with a pill to stimulate creativity. If you seriously need a drug to make shiat up, have fun, or relax, you need to sort out your life.

2014-07-18 03:28:13 PM
There are loads of drugs to stimulate creativity, they're all illegal. However all the examples given in the headline are hit and miss. They don't work for everyone. There's no magic bullet in pill form that fixes something for everyone.

People are idiots. Just shut up and take drugs.

I agree with the subby.  And so does Bill Hicks.
I don't remember verbatim, but thanks to Tool, I have a pretty good recollection of what he said:

"Drugs have done some good things.  I think.  If you don't agree with me, then take all your albums, all your CDs, and all your tapes, and throw them in the trash.  Because all that great music that has enriched your life so much for all those years.  Those guys were REAL f'n high on drugs."

THIS!

At the time I quit cigs my business was growing by leaps and bounds.  Within 5 months after it slowly started not only stoped growing but started to fall off.

My long time GF at that time told me on 24 December I was no longer the same person and broke up with me.

LSL (Long story long) most of my friends disappeared as well withing the next year.  Took me the longest time to figure out that Nicotine was the reason (that and I'm an a-hole) but the Nicotine made me tolerable though.

No.  Not at all.  I got the bit I was looking for...  Although that bit is also included in the intro for the same song.  And, it is arguably one of his more famous ones.
