I thought rejection was something actors had to learn to live with.  Some jokes are funny to some and unfunny to others and some people should grow a few more layers of epidermis if they want to do edgy shtick.

Who the hell cares? Seriously, please identify yourself if this d-list "actor" has any impact on your life whatsoever so I can point and laugh.

He's already on the Salon feminist hit list, so I expect this will blow up tomorrow.

Oh wait, they're already on it.  Drink if you can spot the link to their own stories.

Smell the Glove. Oh, no, wait - that's Lou Diamond Phillips.

Complete with the classic "I'm sorry if you were offended" non-apology apology.

I don't care about the statement, I just don't like him as an actor.

He's a one trick pony with no range who reminds me far too much of the 13 year old Bar Mitzvah boy on SNL.

The only thing offensive was how depressingly unfunny it was.

"Jason added, "Sending positive thoughts to the victims and their families."

Why would you "send positive thoughts" to the dead victims? That's even dumber than his sad attempt at a joke and that stupid movie about farking a pie.

We here at Fark.com have higher standards than that.

I'd like to think we'd have come up with something a whole lot funnier.

I'm offended that the joke wasn't funny.

Hypocrisy on Fark?

Unpossible

I immediately thought his tweet paled to the Fark headline.

This joke would be so much more respectable on stage. It's easy to bomb online... there's no live crowd in front of you. When a joke or a routine fails live... ouch.

Everyone needs to farking relax, it was a joke. It wasn't a funny joke, but take it in the spirit it was intended. I love how the social media warriors immediately jumped on him. As if they were proving how righteous and indignant they were. Scolding someone on twitter is about as helpful as hashtagging to show solidarity with a movement.

However, that was the Weeners on Fark, so you shoudl appreciate many people can.

....and how many "Lost" jokes came out right after MH370?

I was going to say it was a dick thing to say and then I saw the other joke submitted to Fark and I laughed. Well, it wasn't a laugh more like: Oooooooooh damn! So I guess if you're going to make a tasteless joke, the least you could do is make it funny.

2014-07-18 08:44:37 AM
He just needs to learn to limit his tasteless joke-telling to a limited audience that won't rat him out, or anonymous fora.

Look how quickly Gilbert Gottfried lost his Aflac gig.

This guy is a stupid tool. That joke wasn't remotely funny. Some people get famous with minimal talent.

I don't care about the joke. It was pretty lame and predictable.

What I found really offensive was this part of his backpedaling: "Sending positive thoughts to the victims and their families."

Please explain how this works. How do you send a thought to someone? And if it gets there, how does it help them? The victims are dead. They don't even have operational airborne thought collecting apparatus anymore anyway.

Who?

2014-07-18 09:02:47 AM
The world is losing it's humor and it's a sad thing. i'm so tired of the PC Patrol and not being able to say anything without someone jumping down your back for it. Heck according to them you can't wear anything cultural unless you belong to that culture. You can't even buy teepee for your backyard without people going into an uproar and screaming CULTURAL APPROPRIATION!!! Color me shocked because I thought appreciating another culture was their goal. They used to say imitation was the sincerest form of flattery. Guess that doesn't fly anymore.

Was the joke tasteless. Yeah, a bit. Was it worth getting all self righteous? Not in my opinion. There is so much more in this world to go all agro over that a stupid joke is at the bottom of my list.

People just need to grow a thicker skin. At this rate you won't even be able to say hi without someone putting you on blast for it within a few years.

Also the subby of the Fark headline... That was damn funny.
