This About That: Did you ever wonder what ever happened to the industry known as "private aviation". Why isn't everyone flying his own airplane? I speculate it was the insurance industry and the gummint both suffering from and creating paranoia about millions of half-trained nitwits filling the sky with sheet metal (about half of the cost of small airplane rental, and it's expensive, is insurance). Now, "they" are losing sleep over the possibility of removing the nitwit from control of his car (far more likely to collide than an airplane). It's about having something to say, and extracting money from us, about everything we do. It's not "thuh terrorists", it's about extorting and controlling -- us.
dookdookdook: The FBI also worries that not having to hold the steering wheel will give criminals a big advantage. "Bad actors will be able to conduct tasks that require use of both hands or taking one's eyes off the road which would be impossible today."Shhhhhhhh, no body tell Al Qaeda what that other seat on the right side of the car is for.
