I agreed with that sentiment up until they named Harvard boy as their QB.

Of course they can win. 5, maybe even 6 times.

I agree, they can win... a few. Do they play the Vikings?

This reminds me of Vince Young a few years back calling the Eagles a "Dream Team".  I think they won 4 games that season.

As a diehard Texans fan, I've got nothing but respect for Andre. He's more than earned the right to play on a team that can realistically make it to the Super Bowl and that just won't happen with the Texans next season. They'll do better than last season (which isn't very hard to do) but they're in a rebuilding phase right now.

I don't want him to go, but I won't wish him ill will if he does.

If their offense can score 14 - 20 points a game and avoid excessive three and outs, turnovers and leaving the defense with defending a short field, they have a chance because they have a defense that is going to keep teams from scoring.

Well, they can.

Yeesh, they were really good two years ago and inexplicably bad last year. Even ol' Fitzmagic can win a few with this squad.

I agree with both scottydoesntknow and ongbok.  Their defense was out on the field for way too much which of course is never a good thing.

Who knows, might get a wild card spot since I assume Indy will win their division but...

I can see them winning a lot of games if JJ Watt has like 300 SACKFUMBLETOUCHDOWNS

One of my many NFL maxims I've picked up over the years is pretty simple, but it holds true way more often than not.

If an organization's willing to let you go, you're probably not very good, and you can be easily replaced. If an organization's willing to let you go to another team in the division, erase the word "probably" in the previous sentence.

The most recent example off the top of my head is James Harrison on the Bengals.

I'm curious as to what you think of the DeSean Jackson pick up by the 'Skins then.  Technically he wasn't traded to them so....what's your take?

As a 'Skins fan I'm 50/50 on it.  Did we need WR help?  Absolutely.  Is DeSean a good WR?  Depends on your definition but by most accounts, yes.  Is he worth all the money?  Only time will tell.  I'll say yes for now.

At least it should be better than the whole Donovan "throw to the player's feet" McNabb....right?!?  :)

Well,  Di Atribe was keeper/maker of the GRAFF, so if anyone has it, it would be her.

/Yeah, I know you aren't supposed to call out other Farkers per the FArQ

Only in the headline, IIRC.

The Eagles were willing to let him go without even snagging a 6th rounder for him. Now, a lot of that had to do with his contract, but there's also the fact that he's a 5'10" wideout.

There's also the "gang ties" thing, but that probably won't be an issue in DC.

But, either way, the Eagles took a look at the guy after he put up the best statistical season of his career, and said "You know what? We're good. Go find your way, even if it's with a team we play twice every year."

If they score more points than their opponent they stand a good chance of winning

I'd forgotten just how good a run the Chefs had to start the season... and then how hard the wheels came off towards the end.

All I know is that I wouldn't want to be a QB who had to play them.

afc south has the easiest schedule this year, so sure they can win a few

that said the division is also changing drastically with 2 new coaching regimes, 1 on year 2, and one on year 3... player turnover is also high for obvious reasons and at least the titans and jags' defenses look to get much tougher than andre's peak years (not to mention there's bernard pollard)

also he'd be catching overthrown & badly timed passes from fitzmagic!

can't blame him, he knows better than anybody in the houston organization when his time is up in the league, he should go to a contender like the pats

I had no problem with Andre skipping the workouts in the off-season, knowing he'd risk fines doing so.  What put him in a bit of a bad light with the public is when he got mad that he wouldn't get his $1 Million contract bonus for participating in off-season workouts that he didn't attend.  He asked to have a chance to make up the time and that seemed like a fair request, but his agent must have forgotten to say "hey Andre, missing those 2 weeks of workouts is going to cost you Dr. Evil's ransom".  The team doesn't owe Andre a trade, and definitely doesn't owe him a trade to a Super Bowl contender.  At this point, he's probably going to be released after next season unless he renegotiates his deal again (HUGE 2015 season contract) so if they can get value for him now with quality draft picks I wouldn't be surprised if he gets traded.  If he does, bet it won't be a contender.  I'd hate to see him go, future HOF and great guy in the community, but it's a business at the end of the day for the team and the player alike...
