A co-worker of mine and her husband bought a house on a golf course last year. She said you haven't truly enjoyed a sparkling Spring morning until you've been awoken at daybreak by an elderly man screaming "JESUS FARK! MOTHERFARKING COONT OF A FARKING SHIAT-GARGLING FARKING BALL!"

Try golfing at Tempe Rolling Hills. I think it's Hole 3 tees that butt up against the Phoenix Zoo. Nothing like trying to hit a golf ball while a lion is roaring in your ear.

THERE'S LIONS! GET IN THE HOLE!

Fark threads usually have a contingent of posters who channel George Carlin and talk about what a waste of resources it is and only elitist assholes play. We will see if they are around today.

"No, we do not want skilled craftsmen practicing a time-honored art form in our fair city."

"No, we do not want the smell of oak and barley to permeate the air."

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Four or five people disagree with you in a previous thread and then you go into the next one with a chip on your shoulder and this idea that they all meet up on Fridays to compare golf-hating notes.

Get over it, princess. You're not being persecuted by an organized group, you simply disagree in the same way with a number of individuals. And I realize this seems harsh, but I'm putting this out there for everybody else who comes up with a "Fark ___ Brigade" whining point.

2014-07-16 02:51:36 PM
Well, that's pretty much like any public golf coarse club house. I go with my golfing buddy's to drink, drive golf cart, drink, pee in the shrubs, drink, go to club house and, well, drink! I fail to see a problem here

The point is, ladies and gentleman, that  golf, for lack of a better word, is good.   Golfis right, golfworks.   Golfclarifies, cuts through, and captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit.   Golf, in all of its forms; golf for life, for money, for love, knowledge has marked the upward surge of mankind. And golf, you mark my words, will not only save Teldar Paper, but that other malfunctioning corporation called the USA. Thank you very much.

No, thank YOU, sir.!

So in your mind, when I used the expression brigade, you think I think there is a literal organized group that gets together and comes to fark threads to belittle golf?

You might need to take a break, you take this stuff too seriously.

No, that would be stupid. What I think is that people do this as a cheap grab for sympathy and a lash out against all the people who made them upset before.

It used to be a bigtime course, Ben hogan and Byron Nelson caddied and learned to play there way back when. The surrounding area descended into ghetto-ville though after many years and people stopped using it.

What's with all these distilleries around here all of a sudden? It used to be that distilleries popped up where the water and grain were plentiful and allowed you to store or transport the goods easier, now there's a "rum" distillery down the street. There isn't any sugar cane within 500 miles.

played glen gardens once.  should of played it twice but some asshat decided to destroy my camaro on 35w with his truck...

the course has good character, not flat and straight like most of the city courses out here.

if these guys would just keep 9 holes, it would be a great compromise.

but theyll probably just doze it like z boaz...this isnt exactly the best area of ftw either.

I'm not following. Distilling without a license is illegal. Are you saying that I should buy freshly distilled rum and just age that?
