I can understand that people disagree, often very broadly, on immigration issues. But in this case, we're not talking about immigrants, we're talking about refugees. Refugee children. All of the assholes who want to imprison and/or deport them back to the hellholes they are fleeing from deserve to burn in hell

Then the king will say to those at his right hand, "Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me."

Then the righteous will answer him, "Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry and gave you food, or thirsty and gave you something to drink? And when was it that we saw you a stranger and welcomed you, or naked and gave you clothing? And when was it that we saw you sick or in prison and visited you?"

And the king will answer them, "Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me

Then he will say to those at his left hand, "You that are accursed, depart from me into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels; for I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not give me clothing, sick and in prison and you did not visit me."

Then they also will answer, "Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not take care of you?"

Then he will answer them, "Truly I tell you, just as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me. And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

Well, I think there is a fair point to be raised that these kids probably haven't had immunizations that American kids have, so there's some reason to be concerned, but that alone doesn't suffice in my mind to not help these kids or object to them being in your town.

If only there were a way to immunize them, America could avert certain destruction from immigrant children.

Sure, but you can't just give them shots for everything we vaccinate for under the sun at once, and many of them have to be given in stages spread out over certain amounts of time, sometimes months. If they are going to be here for any length of time, absolutely we should provide them with the appropriate immunizations, but it's not like it's five minutes with a pediatrician and Bob's your uncle.

/Two of my kids are due for shots next week.
//My wife made them both an appointment at once.

Jenny McCarthy does not spread her particular brand of crazy south of the border.
Also, this guy is protesting 40 kids.  Tuscon, with a population of over half a million, is 39 miles away from his town.  I'd be amazed if there aren't at least 40 anti-vaxxers in a city that size.

This guys is pretty much saying "Now, I'm not a racist, but don't you think these kids are going to kill us all?"

You can call them what ever you want to call them to ameliorate their status, but they're illegal infiltrators and they should be returned backed from where they came from.

Saying someone deserves to burn in hell because they believe in the law of the land is cute, but it doesn't change the fact that la ley es la ley.

These idiotic families can raise thousands of dollars to abandon their children, they could have used that money to improve their situation in the country they live in a lot more effectively.

It sucks that folks want to use children as shields for immigration policy change, but that does not surprise me one bit. One thing I have learned is Americans will use children as shields to get what they want be it politicians and parents. Those same folks who use children as shields are also the first ones to introduce them to the criminal justice system.

Yes, I've seen that stuff. The drug-resistant TB is nothing new to Texas and Louisiana, and it has been spread from Central America (we saw an uptick in SE Louisiana with a lot of the migrant construction labor post-Katrina), but acting like it's just been introduced in this crisis is inaccurate.
