Reminds me of that yahoo piloting a Globemaster into a crowd of defenseless trees while clowning around with a less capable aircraft. Also, super-critical wings are weird.

I was looking at those takeoffs and landings and thinking I've done the exact same ones on different Hercules, although the Hercs were also loaded to the boots with cargo, inc. human at the time and looked like tanks. Weird seeing a passenger jet doing a combat takeoff, although it would probably rip its wings off if it was anything more than an unladen air show flight prototype.

That was an extraordinarily underwhelming video.

Well first of all that can't be a Dreamliner, it's not on fire.

Subby, it took off, turned a bit and landed...twice. BFD

Nothing that large should be able to fly without flapping its farking wings.

With my luck I fly one of these to a 2 week vacation and am sitting in the last row....by the time I exit behind that mass of humanity, it would be just enough time to run and catch the return flight.

I came for aerobatics.

WHAR AEROBATICS? WHAR?

/take-off, steep bank turn and landing/touch-and-go isn't aerobatics in anyone's book.

I must have blinked or something because I didn't see any  hair-raising acrobatic stunts.

Luckily though, there are no passengers on board as its talented pilot is rehearsing for the Farnborough 2014 air show.

Wow, but that's what happens pretty much every time I fly. Maybe the pilots are all practicing for airshows?

Um... this is Fark.
Just be happy it's not a repeat.

Looks like typical take off from John Wayne Airport in Orange County.

Not even a  barrel roll?

African, or European?

Are you suggesting passengers migrate?

The milk run to Kai Tak involved more maneuvering than that "acrobatic" show.

The camera angles reminded me of flight simulator... just sayin.

Y'know, I seen me a mermaid once. I even seen me a shark eat an octopus. But I ain't never seen no phantom massive Boeing Dreamliner practicing acrobatics for a flight show.

To be fair, taking off and landing in a 787 without bursting into flames IS a pretty tricky maneuver...

I don't know, seems to me that 12 super charged cylinders of Merlin power in a P-51 is way more impressive.

With a camera in front of a multimillion dollar aircraft that elevates enough to get above the rudder?  Simulation was the first thing I thought of.

Blurry eyes today and a poor laptop, but much of that seemed to either be CGI or a seemingly daring decision to place a helicopter or quadcopter in front of the likely flight path of the Dreamliner.

If that's not CGI, then the making of video showing the helicopters, drones, etc. in the air seems far more interesting than the video itself.

Sucks when you get to the end of a sentence and forgot what you wrote at the beginning, doesn't it?

Whomever edited that video needs to be duct taped to the wing with a GoPro on his forehead. Maybe then he can produce something other than crap.

I enjoyed the ad before the video that told me I needed to reinstall the video convertor and that I should click here.  Best ad ever!
