What a disgusting pig. And she wears all that multicultural clothes to remind you that she is holy. She really should have to eat all 60 shots kinda like those Texas steak houses where if you can eat 72 ounces of steak in an hour it is free, otherwise it is $72.

FTFA: Sameera planned carefully for her attempt at breaking a world record. She obtained permission from the store where her attempt would take place, and even made sure to alert media outlets ahead of time.

So was the record "Biggest deal made about something no one cares about"?

2014-07-15 12:12:40 PM
I think in order for the record to stand, the person has to drink it in the store. I mean she brought her own damn jug. Now all some ass clown has to do is roll in a 55-gallon barrel, go tarded and spend alot of money, and the new record is set.

looks delicious.  also, why is 60 shots a menu option?  who is going to order 60 shots in a single drink ... and actually drink it?

But seriously: who the hell cares? Quo vadis, Consumerist? Are you vying with Buzzfeed to become the most inane website ever? Because if you are, you have to learn how to count to potato first.

She cheated by bringing her own vessel.

If I brought a 55 gallon drum or a tanker truck, I could make a more expensive drink.

In fairness, I don't think Buzzfeed has any illusions about their inanity, while Consumerist continues to cling to a veneer of "seriousity".

I usually get a large unsweetened ice coffee with my reward (instead of my usual medium). Am I doing it wrong?

From the article: "The initial cash register total was more than $60, but scanning her loyalty card brought the total down to $57.75. You know,  only $57.75. "

Look at the receipt: She SAVED $57.75 because she had a freebie on the card, which is the whole point of these attempts -- to get the most absurdly expensive drink since they don't limit what you get with your freebie.

I hope she tipped. If I was a barista and somebody walked in with a plastic trash bin and asked for 200 espresso shots with no intention of drinking them, I'd probably just quit my job. The whole thing is dumb -- basically it's a contest of how much work you can get the staff to do for your free drink which you'll never drink.

// When I have a freebie I get a Grande instead of just a Tall. I guess I'm not playing the game hard enough....

Her loyalty card, I guess. But still, if she's not really going to drink it, then yeah, what a waste.

And as others pointed out, what's to stop someone from just bringing in a freaking drum, or a bucket.

It's not. One shot is. And she got 60. Do you think they have different menu items for 1, 2, 3 etc?

2014-07-15 04:23:00 PM
I just get a venti frappuccino with an extra shot affogatto style instead of my normal unsweetened iced coffee. I figure limiting my frappuccino consumption to free drinks is a good way to space out how frequently I'm drinking that much sugar.

How is this a record?  Why can't someone just order 1000 shots, rather than just 60?

I'm pretty sure that her clothes are only from one culture and that she wears them because of that one culture and not to impress you.

Otherwise I agree with this post completely.  Don't waste food you imbeciles, especially don't do it for reasons that are this farking shallow.

There's at least 1 more way too I discovered just recently. If they make you wait in line (my case it was the drive thru) because they screwed your order up, the barista has an option of giving you a free apology card or two for a free drink on the house.

So If I take in a 20 gallon bucket, they'll fill it up with stuff I won't drink, and I'll get my fizz in the local paper and online? That's awesome, until some fark pulls up with a bathtub needing filled.
