I'm fair certain that this will make the rounds as "proof" that Obama doesn't want the truth to get out, and to silence a potential witness...

The real question is how to best blame Obama for either being too violent/too passive for this to happen.

You can never tell with these empty suit dictators.

Al-Shibli, whose name is also spelled Chalabi, was last seen being detained by a local militia in Marj two days ago, a Libyan source said.

Why is Arabic/Farsi/Whatever so hard to translate into English?!

If one of the Bushies had killed this guy there'd be flag waving from, well, every right-wing dipshiat here. But because that incompetent obummer has him mysteriously turn up dead with plenty of plausible deniability, we continue to say the big O is feckless yet usurping Christ only knows what.

Which contains the word "alibi", it's right there libtardos! He was killed because he had an alibi but Fartbong0 has no one else to blame so they need to wrap it all up in a neat little package!

More or less. The GOP has done more to polarize the country than any terrorist could ever hope to achieve. The GOP has done more to weaken this country than any terrorist could ever hope to achieve. The GOP is the the GOP's worst enemy on what they pretend to stand for.

How is Libya doing these days?  That was a country I really had hope for after they took their turn in the Arab Spring.
It was once a relatively liberal and cosmopolitan place until Gaddafi took over, and I got the impression that the majority people there would rather get back to that.

So... some guy who may or may have even been at the US compound that night in Benghazi who apparently "had contact" with AQAP has now been killed, presumably by a Militia group in Marj for reasons unknown at this time but the fact that it happened only after he's been held by Libyan authorities for FBI questioning about that night raises suspicions.

Was he killed to avoid him giving up others involved in the attack or because he had or was the reason more mundane and personal?

Putting this one in the "raises more questions than it answers" file.

Am now looking forward a thread shock full of rational observations, lucid observances and well mannered discussion.

Jaden Smith First of His Name: Why is Arabic/Farsi/Whatever so hard to translate into English?!

Translation isn't too hard. Romanization is hard. Even from Cyrillic script, which has many similarities to the Latin script as both are based on Greek, there can be significant variation. Let's pick a common four letter word, say "Царь", it iscommonly transliterated as any of tsar, tzar, or czar (and there are more legitimate options that aren't commonly used).

Now try it with alanguage with far fewer commonalities

Ugh, that's a shame.  Hopefully they can beat back the militants and get on the right track eventually, but it sounds like it is gonna take a while.

I heard from reliable sources that Obama had him killed because this guy was Obama's man on the ground in Libya who organized the attack. This guy also coordinated the satellite feed so Obama could watch it live. He also delivered the order from Obama that AQAP were to Crip walk on Ambassador Stevens body after they killed him. And if you think that is all bad, you haven't even got to the tip of the iceberg. He even handled the accommodations for Serena Williams and 4 members of the L.A Crips that Obama covertly flew into Libya to teach AQAP how to Crip walk. There is know way Obama could let this guy live.
