Why can't other people be as well adjusted as I am?

I think it's only valuable if you are part of the community there, and that takes some dedication. Otherwise you lurk, read some redlit headlines and scratch your head at the cafe threads where people wander in, introduce themselves and order virtual drinks.

No, no.  These crowd-sourced aggregate link sharing sites are totally different.  Those other guys cost $5 for "Gold" status that gives you private access to very unimportant non-public areas.

A particularly witty post may also gain you sponsored access to these private areas from those who really like that post.

Also, you can get Gold status for just sending a postcard.  Totally different!  I swear.

Last I heard, Drew cannot buy booze with a postcard.  That's the only real difference.  That and millions of more world-wide users.

Here's the article, in case anyone can't get it to load:

How much can stress affect my ability to make small talk? What do you recommend I do to avoid/reduce stress most effectively?

Man up, nancy.

What small steps do I have to overcome when dealing with social anxiety? It has come to the point where I can barely go out and find a job, I barely socialise with people and I stay at home, that is where my comfort zone ends, which I understand is extreme. So any advice on how to deal with social anxiety?

Man up, nancy.

Is it normal for family to be a very large source of stress in my life? (No abuse, just trying to live up to their expectations)

Seriously: grow a pair.

Is it possible to be totally stress-free in society nowadays?

Yes. But first, you have to stop being a pussy.

/interviewee claims to not be misogynist and means no disrespect to any females who seriously need to grow a pair

I have a love-hate relationship with Reddit. On one hand, you're going to get novel stimulus as fast as you can take it in. On the other, without any editorial curation the vast majority will be from marginally misogynistic 19-year-olds who think that a dog in a Mario hat is the funniest thing ever.

If you're reading a certain series of books then Reddit is awesome for your questions. If you're just going there to browse, then you'll end up committing suicide when you outgrow it.

I see nobody quite understands reddit here.  It's basically a new iteration of usenet.  There are a ton of subcultures, some gross and adolescent, others extremely well-moderated and scholarly, with everything in between.  Each one is called a "subreddit", and each one has it's own moderation style and rules of participation.

If you browse anonymously, you get items selected from the "default" subreddits, which are a little better than they used to be but are still pretty broad spectrum.  If you sign up (free) you can then begin to select your own smorgasbord of subreddits (for instance, I can recommend /r/AskHistorians without reservation) and get a markedly different and often extremely rewarding experience.

There is really no such one thing as "reddit", except insofar as it umbrellas the thousands of disparate subcultures contained within.

In Latin, "You give back" or "You return". Which would have been really cool if the creators of Reddit knew this and named the site because of this, but according to some thread on their site, they think it's just a neat coincidence.

So, since they aren't using Latin, I can only assume this is a new English term meaning "neck beard".

You do know that you can "curate" your own reddit content? At least, as far as the content categories go. Make a reddit account, dump all the default subreddits about cats and adolescent deep thoughts, and join any of the 100,000 subreddits that interest you. Politics, astronomy, taxidermy, bronies, engineering, DIY, home brewing, pictures of dead people... whatever your fascinating-to-average-to-twisted little heart desires.
