It's impossible to have a 'top ten' of something like this.  Impossible.

This. Also fails without the coffee commercial sketch.

Chris Farley was utterly hilarious.

/Dick in a Box is among SNL's most overrated sketches.

Guess what I did back in February, smart guy!  Your mom.

List fails.

I hate when that happens.

2014-07-12 03:37:28 PM
"More Cowbell" is also overrated.  Have never seen what is so funny about it.

Of course, that could also be due to retarded asshole Jimmy Fallon's inability to refrain from giggling at himself during the entire skit.

2014-07-12 03:39:02 PM
Wow. A lot of misses. Just off the top of my head...most anything Samurai with Belushi, the one where he's dancing on their graves, Chippendales, Schweddy Balls, Cheeseburger, cheeseburger, cheeseburger, etc...

I thought it was because that farktard idiot Will Ferrel is rarely funny in anything.

Oh, my. That was super, thanks for the link.

I can't imagine that much quality writing going into one sketch these days.

This.

At least it wasn't a slashdot story with a link to a blog post about the uproxx story about the rolling stone article.

Where's Peyton Manning's United Way commercial?

I liked the sketch where the census guy talks to Christopher Walken.

And if I'm gonna go with anything that resembles as 'newer snl' I'd ad Tina Fey as Palin, that shiat was razor sharp.

2014-07-12 04:29:27 PM
I'd trade "More Cowbell" for "Colonel Angus".

There's also not enough John Belushi (the Blues Brothers doesn't count as a skit?) or Steve Martin on this list.

2014-07-12 04:33:39 PM
No Toonces? What about Infant Molesters? And yes, that last one is real.

I tend to favor the old Aykroyd characters, so, the "Point/Counterpoint" spoof on Weekend Update with Jane Curtin, Fred Garvin, Male Prostitute, E. "Buzz" Miller with Laraine Newman as the bimbette, and Irving Mainway; also did an excellent TV pitchman.  The Blues Brothers spots were pretty good, too, but I don't count them as sketches.  Oh, and Uberman was pretty good - a German Superman who could use his X-ray vision to "out" Jews by seeing through their pants material.

Dick in a Box is not funny. Actually, not much of the Lonely Island stuff is. It's internet frat bro humor, where the idea seems funny when you're drunk/stoned, but the execution just falls flat.

That said, the Norm MacDonald west side story sketch is one of my all time faves.

2014-07-12 04:41:12 PM
Also, Phil Hartman as Bill Clinton in the McDonald's talking about Somalia, choking on the mouthful of bites of food that he stole from customers' trays, was maybe the single funniest thing I ever saw on the show. The man was a pro, but he just about completely lost it in that moment.

List should also include Steve Martin's All-Natural Penis Beauty Cream: New Formula.
