Slow news day?

Pretty much biz as normal for NPR. Everything but white guilt, although I didn't read T*entire*FA so that may have been in there somewhere too.

I...what? The hell is up with that headline? "Saving trees and drinking soda"? Why isn't it "Saving trees and drinking water"? The way I see it, few things are more politically correct than saving trees. Nobody's allowed to be against that. On the other hand, drinking soda is the new hotness in political incorrectness (thank you Michael Bloomberg), so the two things don't go together.

Go home, NPR, you're drunk.

Eat those goats, Dutch people! It helps to keep the European Cheese Mountain down. Have some wine to wash it down from Great Wine Lake.

Mmmmm ... goat stew.

Subby here. To be fair, when I submitted it, this article was the banner article/image on the site - the very first thing you saw when visiting, hence why I found it ridiculous.

/ and I actually  like NPR.

NEXT UP TO RUIN IS...QATAR!!!

Qatar is home to
Al Udeid Air Base
 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Udeid_Air_Base

SWEET!!  Let's build things in over 100 degree F weather in a city with the largest U.S.A. military base in the Middle East so people can die of heat exhaustion...then abandon it and take all the monies with us!!!

/The people on the military base will help for calming down the riots.  Great Plan.

I'm against saving trees. Look at the farktards in the southeast. Instead of making parks and leaving forests alone, they dot roads and buildings between the forests, and make stupid laws about how X percent of the area has to be trees. So you end up with this stupid marriage of inefficient urban areas and crappy woodlands which leads to a lot of roadkill and people getting lost all the time.
