Best spokescritter name since USN Lt. Kafka gave briefings on Guantanamo detainees.

I worked for the rat from 4/72 till 10 of 83. If the people only knew how many fingers arms legs and LIVES have been lost at Disney World they more than likely would shiat thier pants. One night stands out when a 6 year old was lost and then later found in the moat around Cinderellas Castle drowned. I was working the Main Monorail Platform in 75 when 2 monorails collided. Lots of hurt people and the security surrounded the station and made everyone give up the  film in the cameras. Yes this was all before cell phones and digital. So many really bad accidents happened there when I was an employee. But, the State of Florida in 1969 granted WDW a special zoning for the 27 square mile property and in the early years the Highway Patrol or Sherriffs dept were not allowed on the property unless requested by Disney security. Disney is the big dog in Orlando and they answer to no one. Got hurt? Here's a check and sign this non-disclosure form please and have a magical day!

dolphinsgonwild: As I recall, I would willingly loose a few fingers to get out of the "it's a small world" ride.

I always wondered why they housed all those prisoners at Gitmo when if you wanted to extract info from them all ya would have to do is strap em into that ride and run em through till they gave up what ya wanted to know

Witness99: Does that ride still have the three, lusty animatronic pirates chasing the three, frightened animatronic women (presumably to catch and rape them)? Or is it more PC nowadays

It's reversed the same 3 animatronic women are now armed with frying pans and are chasing the 3 pirates

I got stuck on pirates for over an hour once. They killed the music and turned on all the lights after 30 minutes of trying to restart the ride and everyone was cheering. Got to be the last boat drug by a cast member in hip waders to a "dock" by the pigpen to get off. The ride looks like hell on the back. The employee cafe back there is cool as hell. Got a huge pile of the good "whole party" fast pass slips out of that. Made a lot of friends that week. Didn't have to wait in lines at all the rest of my trip. It was almost worth it.

optikeye: Disney spokeswoman Andrea Finger confirmed the accident and said the ride was briefly closed and has since been reopened.

Why couldn't her name be Anita.

You know who else liked boat rides, dealt with pirates and lost their fingers?

I don't think it happened like the guy says.

He was probably trying to get out of the boat, and ran straight into the razor blades the park tack-welds all over the unseen sides of the props to keep people away from effing with them.

Never get out of the boat.

Unless you're going all the way.

Duh.  "Keep your arms and hands inside of the boat at all times."  They only repeat it fifty billion times a minute there.
