Any movie that starts a war strongly worded letter has got to be good.

I have a friend who refused to watch Team America because they thought it was a republican/conservative war mongering hate speech movie.  They specifically used the words "This movie is NOT tongue-in-cheek, they really mean it when they say "America, fark yeah!""

I hate my friends.

I was that person in college, because I was young and stupid.

Watched it when I was older and stoned, and laughed my ass off.  Still can't remember the plot, might be time for another watch.  I vaguely remember it not being partisan humor, but stupid humor.

Here is the obvious point that NK will never understand.

The UN is there to help settle political disputes.  A movie made by a private citizen that has no government backing whatsoever is not political in nature.  Our government can't stop him from releasing that film.  The UN can't stop him.  There is no legal basis for it at all.

So what the hell does he expect the UN to do?

unlikely: If Seth Rogen offends them, I have just one question:
Did anyone there see Team America: World Police?

Not anyone who wasn't immediately put to death or sent to a labor camp with 3 generations of their family.

hej: I look forward the the Fark outrage that ensues when Best Korea counters with a movie about the assassination of President Obama.

It's probably already in one of their everyday propaganda films and films they show in school.

MythDragon: Super Chronic: Threats on heads of state are unacceptable, but videos showing Obama in flames are A-OK. As are articles calling him a monkey.

From one of the popoganda videos:
The people are watching. America should answer.

I don't know if they want to hear what we have to say

I wouldn't be amazed if they actually use 'The Adventures Of Kim Jong Un' as a propaganda series over there. Humor and satire isn't exactly their forte.

Sgt Otter: hej: I look forward the the Fark outrage that ensues when Best Korea counters with a movie about the assassination of President Obama.

Well, they'd need to find a black North Korean first.

Knowing them, they'd probably just go the Al Jolsen route using that defector guy (aka traitorous asshole).

"Ooooo, that was a wet fart."
or
"Oppan Gangnam Style!"

James Rieper: The NK photos always try to show Kim Jong Un and two flunkies bravely directing some activity.

Does anyone else think they end up looking like the Three Stooges ?

More like a band of Don Quixotes bravely ready to take on a windmill.

And he's the one guy not taking notes. He definitely picked a bad day to be slacking off/having a hangover.

I wish North Korea would stop giving Seth Rogan all this free advertising.

The joke will be on them when this mediocre film makes a billion dollars only because of them opening their yaps.

I'm sure the libertopian neckbeards that waited in line to see Atlas Shrugged would make the US release a success.

/Dude, we have a presidential assassination movie every other week
//Most of them aren't the overwrought, self-important propaganda pieces that Best Korea typically produces though
/It would be a staple of stoner college parties for decades to come

Cletus C.: If North Korea attacks us I'm blaming the video.

Why not, it worked for clinton and obama.

gunga galunga: Team America pulled off quite a feat when it was released. It got conservatives to cheer a movie that savaged right wing "bomb first, ask questions later" foreign policy because they also blew up Michael Moore.

nothing compared to the trick "conservatives" pulled when they got the liberals to pay for that war in the first place.
good thing it ended when Bush left office though.
