(CrushPlate)   If you're drunk in Atlanta and climb onto a gate at an indoor rodeo, the biggest thing you need to worry about is the drunken mob who comes to rescue you   (crushplate.com) divider line 19

It's Georgia. Did you really expect a sober mob?

Holy shiat, he had to pepper spray them so he could get through? Outstanding

Bull fighting is for pussies.

Well, they didn't so much rescue the drunk as throw him to the bull, but hey, a good time was had by all in classic Calgary Stampede style.

QFT.

But, this was a rodeo, not a bullfight. Slightly more humane.

Ah, cool, thanks. I DNRTFA, but I was scratching my head because I've lived in Atlanta for 34 years and I couldn't tell you where there was an indoor rodeo, even if you had a gun to my head.

I'm sure you can find one in "Atlanta," OTP.

If someone climbed on your back and tied a rope around your nuts just to piss you off would you call that humane?

Nope, good thing that doesn't happen in modern rodeo huh?

Good point. I guess since one of my grandfathers asked for his ashes to be scattered on a local rodeo's grounds--"so that they may be trampled into the ground by bulls"--I find myself incapable of hating rodeos.

I did say slightly more humane, btw.

/they don't kill them intentionally

...or tie ropes to their nuts, but why add reality to an argument with an obvious agenda?

Let's not forget about the drunk Mexican that showed up at some church type rodeo in Bartow County a few months ago. The dude starts shooting his gun in a drunken stupor and the crowd turns on him, lassos him and beat the shiat out of him. Good times.

Except they don't do that in rodeos.

Bucking bulls live a pretty good life. Good food, travel, work for less than a minute a week (at most), girls--yeah, real inhumane.

What obvious agenda? I was merely sharing a personal anecdote explaining why my feelings differ. And they don't bind the testicles, either.
