I wonder if Forest Gumps Brother, Lt. Dumbass Gump got promoted over this to Captain Gump?  Seriously- this is proof that Forest had a brother who survived the back alley abortion clinic!

This is abhorrent. Cops should not just be able to walk away from serious attempts to produce child pornography through forcible rape and neither should the judge, prosecutor, or anyone else who was complacent with this plan.

I mean, if I go to a gun shop and say "I need a good shotgun for a bank robbery." that alone is a crime. If the gun shop sells me the gun, knowing I've declared to rob a bank with it. That's another crime. Even if I then say "I've changed my mind." or "I was just kidding." IT'S STILL A CRIME.

These people tried to do something so far beyond the pale even the mere preliminary steps they took to do it should warrant felony sex offenses, dishonorable discharges, and a nice kick in the groin with a heavy boot from an NFL kicker. If they had actually carried out the plan, the death penalty would not be out of line, because they were not just raping a minor to produce pornography but using the government's authority to do it. That's beyond one victim. That's a crime against the fabric of society itself.

They basically tried to do the worst possible thing a body can do short of full on active wartime treason.

Would a medically-induced erection involve Asa Akira in a nurse's outfit? It's, um, for a report for school.

Gotta love that they are charging him as an adult for taking pictures of himself as a minor.

So according to the state, for the purposes of this crime, he is both a minor and an adult.

Ah, thanks for pointing that out. I hadn't put that together myself.

"So I'm an adult? And I took pictures of an adult cock?"
"Oh no? I took pictures of a minor's cock? So I'm a minor?"

It's funny how different this century's paradoxes are compared to the last century.

I agree with most of your sentiment, but... really? The worst thing a body can do short of full-on active wartime treason? Worse than, say, murder? What about worse than involuntary drug testing on hundreds of people? How about worse than stealing the retirement benefits of a few thousand?

Yes, it's bad. No, it is not anywhere near the worst possible thing. Had it happened, it would've been a somewhat-embarrassing photo of a body part half the human race has, in a state that body part spends a large proportion of its time in anyway -- just induced unnaturally in some manner.

Still a disgusting and reprehensible thing for governmental agents to be doing supposedly in the name of the law, but not that staggeringly bad in the overall scheme of things.

I like to imagine that that PD got so many phone calls and angry emails that their IT systems went into hebie-jeebies and broke down utterly.

The stupidity of that idea, no to mention the entire idea that a mutual exchange of nudie photos is somehow wrong...I mean, if they play doctor in person, it's a lesser crime.

Hopefully a few more of these beyond stupid cases will finally allow some common sense to prevail, but I sure doubt it, our capacity for Dumas seems to be unlimited.

Basically, the cops threatened to rape the boy.  That alone is a crime.

Then again, I'll just leave this right here...

When police arrested the teen, they photographed his penis against his will, his aunt, who is his guardian, alleged to NBC Washington.

Officials threatened to medically induce an erection in the boy if necessary, the Washington Post reported.

Nope. Barelyin the second scenario you mention and abandoning it later makes that ok too. I. E. Taking a 'substantial step' towards committing a future crime by drawing the gun shop into some pseudo conspiracy. But dont let your lack of knowledge or understanding of the law stand in the way of educating us with the ass blather spewing from your mouth.
