A quick count came up with 21 novels during that time frame as well...

So the crew was pretty darn busy those 5 years.

Are those frames in the right order?  Something seems wrong there, besides the WHUD.

took me a second, also -- the images of Kirk on the left are separate from the group scene; presumably he's about to walk around the corner and see the fight.

Gotta love how synched up the Star Trek expanded (licensed?) universe used to be; I should see if I can buy/pirate a copy of Starfleet Command now

Same. Didn't make a lot of sense to me, either.

She's going to get knocked over and fall boobs-first into Kirk's arms.

/Their size is clearly foreshadowing.

...What should have been ST IV (which was still a fun movie) was in the ST comics - the crew, with the resurrected Spock, is on their way home to face the music, when they run into the mirror universe ISS Enterprise....

The panel that y'all are WHUDding about is actually from the DC comic run in the late eighties, not the newspaper strip run.

// embarrassed that I know that.

I can't read, apparently, did the author mention the name of the books any where?

I wonder if that V-neck uniform was invented for the comics or is a glimpse of a design for The Wrath of Khan that was not in the movie for budget reasons. The crewman jumpsuits in Star Trek II are the "pajama" uniforms from The Motion Picture dyed and altered to save the cost of sewing new uniforms from scratch.

I used to have those! That was in the DC Comics run, I think. Fun story.

In Wrath Of Khan it's implied in the beginning that Kirk has been sitting behind a desk growing old for the last few years. Those sound like some exciting strips.

I'm pretty sure this is a page from DC Comics' series, not the post-Motion Picture newspaper strips.

As busy as Roland in the Dark Tower series between books or the cast of Star Wars between movies.

I thought at first glance it was the Atari Force comic.

At least the last Kirk actually looks like Kirk.

(but of course, with the advent of binge viewing, stalwart fans will likely binge read rather than pace themselves)

Thanks for telling us about the "advent" of "flipping the pages" Mr Spock.

Anyway I've never seen any of these so I'll have to buy a copy. The article is seriously unhelpful - not even telling us what the collection is called - but I'm pretty sure this is it.

My boss actually bought me both volumes of the collected comics for Christmas. Best. Boss. Evar.

p.s. dahmers love zombie just made my day with a Clue reference. I heart you.
