I never saw Good Will Hunting so that scene went over my head. A scene from a Kevin Smith movie went over my head.

What's funny about the Rocky 38 thing is that when Airplane! 2 came out their only 3 Rockys, certainly not unreasonable. It was prophetic that they guessed there would be entirely too many Rocky sequels.

Mugato: No Blues Brothers 2000? That movie was a joke, right?

I saw that a few weeks ago on Crackle streaming. Unsurprisingly, it sucked, but honestly it didn't suck as much as I thought it would. Maybe going into it with exceedingly low expectations made me appreciate it ... just a bit.

With the right script, the sequel that I think would really work would be "Ferris Bueller 2". The idea of a grown up Ferris and Cameron skipping work for a day of adventure makes my middle-aged heart happy.

I wish they'd do this for "The Matrix". A sequel to that would be pretty cool.

The only reason to watch it is for the music and the music was good.

The music in the second one was pretty damn good.  Not as classic as the original, but still had a lot of great tracks.

Story, acting and pacing were all pretty bad though.

Yeah, but the fun of the movie was the danger of getting caught.

Scene 1, interior bedroom. A middle aged Ferris sits with a computer on his lap.

"For my 40th birthday I asked for a sports car. I got a computer."

Ferris types an email: Dear boss, I'm taking the day off. See you tomorrow."

End of movie.

/Because how could you do a sequel to that movie?

OK, how about this: Reverse the roles. Have Ferris be the Rooney character, comically chasing after some young miscreant. Do you think Shia Laboef can still pass for high school age?

I guess I'm the only one that was happy to see Pineapple Express 2 up there...

This Is The End was a lot funnier than I expected it to be and even though my sister and I tried to get my 4 year old niece not to watch, she freaking loved that movie too. I can honestly say that this was the only movie where I actually enjoyed Michael Cera's performance. And Channing Tatum's cameo was pretty great too.
