I blame security.  If security didn't help them try and exit the store with the merchandise, this would have never happened.

I once evaded a helicopter thanks to ponds and drains. So there's that.

I had to hide in the Potomac river to hide from cops after a house party got busted, that was fun. But this happend right near where I work, ever since they put the casino in all kinds of weirdness has started to happen.

It seems to me like the protip would be to disregard the surrounding drainage ponds.

I would go with know how to swim if you intend to use them.

The family will launch lawsuits at the city for nlt saving him in time, the dtore for causing this, and especially the mall security for chasing him outside. The city will balk and win the store and security will settle so they dont get raked in public opinion, and im betting the security gaurds have a do not chase out of mall rule at work and will loose their job. Noone wins in these situations.

Wow, your Preview comments button would appear to be broken. And why would the city win the store?

Here's the drainage pond outside my office a few years back.  Dude in the Camaro was running from the cops, sped into our (dead end) parking lot, and launched Duke Boys style right into the hole.  Was quite a bit of entertainment.

He probably knew it would make a good path, if it hadn't been raining lately.  Most of the year, they tend to be dry.

We keep the one at my church mowed when it's dry, which hasn't been the case.
