I see they are just playing it for laughs this time.

If I wanted that, I'd just watch Piranha 3DD again.

Andy Dick can still get work, I see. Kinda sad to see Judd Hirsch reduced to this, though.

This would be way funnier if they just played it deadpan serious.

I hope it's not intentionally funny. Asylum can't do serious or scary. Funny is way harder. The best thing Sharknado had going for it was that title. It was pretty great the first time I heard it.

/ Not so much the 100th or 1000th time

As someone who's going to see the guys from Rifftrax rip Sharknado a new one later today, this is relevant to my interests.

Piranha 3D is where it's at. The sequel sucked.

I watched Earth Vs Asteroid the other day. It was worth it because of how surreal it was. And it was good to see Tia Carrere working.

I was planning to go tonight, but think I'm going to have to reschedule for the rebroadcast next week because some of my friends can't make this screening. Besides, intentionally bad Siffy movies don't interest me as much as unintentional train wrecks like we're slated to see later this year (Godzilla & Anaconda) so I might just sit this one out.

The only good Asylum movie / series I thought was decent was the the Dune Mini series they did a while back. Only because it was closer to the book then the movie was.

Still have yet to see Sharknado... So I can not say much about this either.

Are you talking about the Sci-Fi Channel miniseries, or is there another miniseries I'm missing?  I don't think the Sci-Fi one was produced by Asylum.

They didn't do the Dune Miniseries. It was done for Sci-Fi(y) and distributed by Hallmark.

It was also excellent and I'm going to binge on it as soon as possible. I need some spice, though.

I swore my DvD series says Asylum on it.. But they might of produced the DvDs and not the actual series which would make it my bad for that misunderstanding. And now I have to rewatch the entire series including Children of Dune.

I just checked my DVD set.  It says "Artisan" on it.  No sign of Asylum.

I admit, I'd be morbidly curious to see what an Asylum production of Dune would look like.

Man... I was doing that from memory... I haven't watched that series in a long time. Because it is not with my normal DvD shelf and is hidden somewhere. Thanks for the correction.

The sequel only had The Hoff going for it.

I'm still waiting for the premiere of Earth vs. Soup. That script's been in development hell for decades.

It should be broadcast at a theater near you (most likely). Check the link above or http://www.fathomevents.com/event/rifftrax-live-sharknado to find out where.

This movie has characters named Martin and Ellen Brody.  I guess that's why Martin hates the water so much after he leaves New York.

Also, this will be the second worst movie ever made with a character named Ellen Brody.

It will probably be made available for purchase on their website a few months from now.  All the past live shows have been great.  Tonight should be no exception.

Can't believe the next show is only a month away.  That's way quicker than usual for the Live events.  August 14 for Godzilla.
