you don't have to give whales baths, silly.  they already live in the water-- they're fish.

redtube dot com?

But seriously, amazing how disgusting that whale got in a year's time - look where she's washed versus where she hasn't. And she's working that blowhole like a real pro.

The whale, made of fiberglass and polyurethane on a hollow steel frame, was based on a female blue whale found in 1925 off the South American coast

It's a faaaaaaaake.

Japanese scientists inconsolable.

I'm thinking the blue whale cleaning business wouldn't be very lucrative,

That why you charge by the sq ft.  Duh.  Do I have to do all the work here?

What a big fish might look like:

Skip to about 5 minutes in.  Great footage underwater footage at least.  Those are the biggest fish you'll find.

Is "I'll be vacuuming my whale" the new phrase we'll be using round here?

Came for the rag on a stick... leaving clean.

"Give the giant blue whale a bath" they said.
"Pay attention to the blow hole" they said.

tl;dr:  you'll never see me at the truck stop again.

And just imagine: the vast majority of that dust is delicious skin flakes from the zillions of tourists every year who stand under the whale, staring up with their mouths agape.

Taste the rainbow, folks.

It has a navel? Is it ticklish?

The news clip doesn't really do it justice. It's all closeups under harsh light (since they're in the middle of cleaning it). Here's a better clip of the whale, properly lit, from a good angle.

Riddle: [angry] How in the hell do you loose a five hundred pound fish?
Melissa: [wants to say something]
Riddle: What?
Melissa: I'm sorry sir, I was just going to say, that it's not a fish, it's a mammal.
Riddle: Thank you, miss Jacques Cousteau.

Despite weighing around 21,000 pounds, the whale hangs from a single point on the ceiling, which gives it the illusion of floating.

This came to mind:

It's only a model..

So it's attached to the ceiling by a single point? I wanna set that sucker spinning!
