Which one of you lefties is going to turn this into a "ban the guns" thread?  C'mon, get to it....

you should at least wait until she produces an heir to give you some claims to press.

His behavior might be the result of dementia. When my grandpa got dementia, he became paranoid that people were stealing his stuff. He got angry enough to start throwing stuff at the walls and cursing when family members denied they stole any of his stuff. When he was fully functioning, he was never like that. Or maybe he's just a violent old coot.

It wasn't attempted murder, because when Luis Ames, he always hits.

Nope.

But should people be tested for mental competency and their gun licenses revoked if they fail?

Yup.

/driver's licenses too. My dad hung on to his until the bitter end and no way should he have been driving his last five years.
//I miss him though. Strong and tough.

Atomic Spunk: His behavior might be the result of dementia.

I'm guessing he was pissed when he found out that his wife was a slut instead of a virgin.

He didn't pay attention when the voice on those interminable prescription drug commercials on TV droned through the side effects.

"Do not take [this drug] if you suspect your wife of stealing your checkbook and you own a handgun."

I have to give my dad credit.. he gave up driving almost 2 years ago and even when I joke about letting him take my car he wont.. he said he just cant drive and is afraid he will hurt someone.. he turns 74 in Nov..  even before he completely stopped driving he didn't drive much.. I did most of it..  now my stepdad... different story.. same age, refuses to stop driving.. even after many mistakes that some people would never do..  and of course mom.. yeah.. stopped driving many years ago.. thankfully..

It's true.
He actually warned her before the wedding that he was the jealous type and would kill her if she wasn't 'pure'.
He shot her the second night of the honeymoon.

Luis Ames, of Hallandale Beach, was arrested Monday after he struck his wife with the handle of a handgun, police said.

Any "journalist" who uses the phrase "handle of a handgun" should be barred from writing.

At that age, is it murder to pre-mature euthanasia?
