Oh, look DC's a decade late to the party again

I bet next year, their characters have a civil war of some kind.

These are awesome, and I liked Kirkman's Marvel Zombies fine, but sheesh, FNB, let it go! This is cool!

You know, FirstNationalBastard, for a guy who cares a lot about comics, you hate a lot of comics. This is terrific. I already used the Wonder Woman photo to charm the girl.

Besides, I'm pretty sure the terrific "Batman vs. Dracula" series predated Marvel Zombies, and that one had Batman ripping the heads off everyone in Arkham Asylum before murdering Alfred.

(not to be confused with the lousy movie)

As soon s you posted the art, I could see it was Kelley Jones.

Wonder whatever happened to him. He was good for the darker Batman look, and horror stuff.

I don't know much about the artists but I do remember it was three graphic novels spread out over many years.

I love Marvel Zombies too but they were kind of super silly. I mean, The Avengers managed to eat all of humankind in like a day? Even Spider-Man would notice a stomach bump. But it was cute and silly and fun. I liked the bit when Zombie Spider-Man accidentally ended up in 70's Spider-Man's comics and well that did not turn out well for poor 70s Spider-Man.

But still, the three Batman v Dracula books are some of my favorite comics ever.

You know, I really should get around to reading all these Archie zombie books, now that I think about it.

Wait about 6 more months. The first trade just came out last month collecting 1-6.

Good plan. I hate cliffhangers. Man I hope Moose hasn't been turned, he'd be a force to reckon with.

I picked up the first 6 and loved them. The one issue where Archie has to kill two zombies very near and dear to him was very emotional.

I would let vampyre Wonder Woman bite me.  Giggity.

On the other hand, we now have an answer to the question, what's more lame than Aquaman?

Yes, halloween covers are the same as ripping off stories.

Marvel is so much better in everyway to DC at the moment.  Right now, they have an ongoing series, where a character dies and they have to solve the murder.  And in the process, one of the main avengers learns his mind was erased to cover up something bad everyone else did.

I can't wait til DC copies off of that brilliant new idea.

Which came first, Knightfall, or the series where all of Daredevil's enemies beat on him one after another after being released from prison until he is too worn out to fight the crazy overrated Typhoid Mary?

Aquaman isn't lame unless your entire knowledge about the character comes from an animated series intended for children and Family Guy.

"Graphic Novel" is the funniest term I've ever heard! Makes me giggle every time.

"Comic book", you morons. Geez.

Like "Sanitation Technician", "Sandwich Artist", or "Genuine Advantage".

Read Watchmen and then tell us that you don't think that maybe some comics deserve a more distinguished name.

It's not what it is, though.

Watchmen is a trade paperback, or a collected edition. It collects the 12 issues of the maxi-series released in 1986-1987.

Now, Pride of Baghdad, that was a graphic novel written and released specifically in that format.

/IMO, the term graphic novel is incorrectly overused as a blanket term for all comics by people ashamed to be reading comic books who have to make them seem more important.

At Hallowe'en, when young women are dressing up as slutty Wonder Woman, does Diana Prince dress up as a school marm?

I like the idea of hybridizing as such, you can get some neat pictures.  Mummy Batman, Vampire Wonder Woman(or is she a "hag" charming a bunch of nosferatu?), for example.

However, when you make Superman into a demon ala a mixture of Spawn and the villains from Spawn, or worse, Batman into a giant man-bat thing and Aqua-man into an ugly fish, that's sort of taking the easy way out.

Oh yeah I completely understand but still, in it's collected form I'd say it deserves the title.  Otherwise you are basically arguing that if the first print of a novel was in serialized format in a magazine (like early Sci-Fi tended to be) then it's not a novel.

I know... It's just a reaction I had to people classifying a Spawn collection or something similar as a graphic novel.
