Isn't the biggest challenge still pretending the Benghazi is a thing?  Now that the ring-leader admitted it was actually about the video, what do they have left other than the GOP cutting spending for diplomatic security.

Seems to me the key to making it at least notionally appearing to be non-partisan would be focusing on te impact of cutting diplomatic security.

Who among the rational people of the world aren't sure if this is a partisan thing? Show me this person so I can slap him or her.

Democrats are the real partisans for not setting aside their differences and agreeing that Obama is an illegitimate president who hates America.  You just can't negotiate with them when they won't budge on some fundamental agreements.

Even the republicans on the committee have to be bored talking about Benghazi at this point.

It took Starr a while to find something he could get Clinton on and it wasn't even remotely connected to what he went looking for.  I willing to bet most of the people trying Clinton were made more than a little uncomfortable by the fact that a BJ from an intern is what they got him on. Okay it wasn't even the BJ that got him.

Right now, however they're a little behind schedule if they want to get the impeachment done before he leaves office.

We all know it's partisan. There is no way for them to prove it's not.

The committee has been allocated an expansive budget from the House. The panel has $3.3 million to spend this year on operations, according to documents from Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi's office.

3.3 million on a political farce.

Issa pretty much just yells at the person saying he can't get answers and then doesn't let the other person respond.

Yeah, 'cos conservatives really care about not appearing partisan. It's as important to them as it is to appear civil and intelligent.

The word 'Benghazi' has been used so much it has lost all meaning.

They'll say its Obama's fault that we have to spend the money: It's always Obama'a fault.

The headline is true in much the same way as the biggest challenge for Bill Clinton was proving that he was never a womanizer.

That's probably why they sent him back down to the minors on this. Nothing was getting done and the party was starting to look incompetent.

his methodical approach could help the GOP savor a scandal that has at times looked more like a political sideshow.

At times? I think the author meant to say "the entire time"

Benghazi? I'm still waiting for the result from the IRS scandal, or was it President Obama ignoring the Constitution... geez, we've started all these investigations but they never seem to really come to a definitive conclusion.

He's also checking with the 11 other lawmakers on the panel about working through the August recess.

My favorite so far is
"SHOW ME LOIS LERNERS EMAILS FROM HER IRS ACCOUNT IN 1983!?"
"I respectfully submit that Ms. Lerner did not work for the IRS at that time, and that the IRS had at that point not started using email."
"SO, JUST ANOTHER STONEWALLING BY THE ADMINISTRATION!?"
