Coors Light is bad. Also, Canadian beer sucks.

Not a big deal.  They seem to enjoy closing intersections in Toronto, especially for police investigations, even if it involves jay-walking.  And don't dare approach their precious yellow tape.

Will we ever lose the mentality of "that could be a bomb, run!"? It's really absurd now. Any box, bag, case, cart, container, etc. is now an unknown threat. It could be a nuclear bomb!

Hey, at least Coors Light doesn't taste like oatmeal and flips flops like 99% of 'craft beer'.

Good. A thread for beer snobs to vent about how other people like crappy beer.

Not to mention major traffic arteries; just because there is no real alternative to the DVP or Gardiner doesn't seem to stop the city from closing them down with alarming frequency.  Or closing off lanes for construction and then taking weeks to get started on said construction.  And then usually scheduling construction on any alternate routes at the same time, just to make sure no traffic can get through.  Rob Ford clearly isn't the only one doing crack at city hall.

As much as I dislike Coors Light, as long as Corona and ultra-light beers exist, you can in fact do worse.

You're always making threads about beer. Never ANY about chocolate milk. Beer sucks. Chocolate milk rules.

When its 95 degrees outside with 80% humidity, a light beer is preferable to the flip-flops and oatmeal chunky beer.

Beer snobs are funny.

I mean, I really like good craft beers like St.Bernardus Abt 12, Zombie Dust, Stone's Levitation, Pliny The Elder, Anderson Valley brews and many, many others.  However, if you don't see the value of Coors Light under the right conditions (like middle of the hot day doing some activity), then you have a very limited scope and should probably go home and rethink your life.

Let me introduce you to something called "session beer".  Good flavour doesn't not necessarily have to correlate with high alcohol content.

If the Coors Light was warmer than -4C then it was a dangerous product.

It's not always easy to find craft beer in cans.  I'd take Brooklyn Summer over Coors Light, but I won't turn my nose at CL.  Now Bud Light, I won't drink that at all - instant headache.

when it's 105 degrees, I'll gladly crush a Coors Light or a Miller Lite.   There's a time and place for both mass produced light beers and delicious craft beers.

If you're thirsty, drink water. The alcohol isn't helping you if you're hot/dehydrated.

Toronto never met a road it wouldn't like to close for some stupid reason or another. There are thousands of acres of parkland to use. All Coors had to do was slap a picture of a bicycle on the briefcase and they could have had themselves a fundraiser.

Ridiculously easy in Austin, Texas.

And that's not including the canned stuff we can get from Colorado.
I'm on the river a lot, so it's cans only.

"Try to detect" any beer, that indicates an effort. "Try and detect" indicates attempt and assumes success.

Coors apologized for any confusion that its viral promotion caused. A spokesman said "We clearly underestimated the public's reaction to this promotion. To Ease any worries, we've come up with a replacement promotion. We really think our new 'Throwing lit matches at random strangers' campaign is going to light a fire under the public's feet..."

Right, cause that 96% water balance doesn't hydrate at all...

I bet 96% water, 4% salt would dehydrate you as well.

Actually, I've found that piss is great for getting the taste of Coors Light out of your mouth.

I love hoppy beers that you have to chew, but last weekend at the pool I drank Miller Lite tall boys. I thought of Fark when I purchased it. But when I got back to the room I had a Luganita's IPA and a Not Your Mother's Brown Ale.

Time and place. If you want to swig down 100+ oz over the course of a day you are probably going to drink lighter beers; if you feel like sipping and enjoying more complexity you drink whatever heavier craft you prefer.

the session beer is a good suggestion though. I do need to find a 4-5% ABV beer I enjoy. But then the kicker is if the store by the lake will have it.

Where did I say I wanted to be hydrated?  I want a beer, and a frosty domestic light beer hits the spot in that situation.

First thing that came to my mind? "This is Canada, why would it be a bomb?". That just would never have occurred to me if I was walking down the street; also, I'm somewhat of a beer snob, but agree with the sentiment of Coors Light is okay at the right time/place.
