Well, Boehner leads using only vague rhetoric and slogans.  So I guess it makes sense that his lawsuit will be composed of the same.

People misunderstand.

When Boehner said he was going to the Bar, he meant to say he was going to get *drunk*, not take legal action.

Ah, the Clinton approach. Loudly say that you are looking to reproach the President for one thing then, at the last minute, change focus entirely and then state that this was your intended target all along.

To be immediately laughed out of court for being nonjusticiable due to it being a political question, not to mention a complete lack of standing to sue.

Speaker John A. Boehner of Ohio is moving cautiously toward a late-July vote to authorize a lawsuit against President Barack Obama, juggling legal and political considerations as he tries to check executive power and stoke stroke the Republican base.

Doesn't anybody proofread anymore?

Boner really shafted himself with that stupid statement. If he does do it he'll get laughed out of court. If he doesn't do it he'll look like a whimp. Bet ya $10 that he finds a way to fund it with taxpayer monies.

Serious question here: Supposing that a Republican is elected to the White House next, does that person pardon Obama? As I understand it, every incoming president pardons the outgoing president regardless of party affiliation. But that would probably piss off a lot of the GOP base, as they seem to have a deep-seated hatred for Obama.

When Erick Erickson thinks you are wasting time, you probably have a dumb idea on your hands. Of course, his isn't any better.

Rather than sue the president, Erickson argues, Republicans should look to last fall's government shutdown and use a threat to refuse to raise the debt ceiling in order to extort policy concessions from Democrats.

I seem to recall a court case where SCOTUS ruled that the executive branch indeed had failed to faithfully execute some law, but I can't remember the case name. I've looked for it several times since this lawsuit was announced as in the works, but I'm yet to find it.

It's not really immigration reform, because it does nothing to reform immigrants or the practice of immigration..but I guess the phrase "scofflaw aid" doesn't hit it off with focus groups.

Ignoring the fact that he's STILL used fewer executive orders than previous Presidents, Bush didn't face the absolutely unprecedented levels of obstructionism that Obama has faced.

Maybe this will become the GOPs new Time and Money waster, just like trying to repeal the ACA 50+ times.

How did that work out for conservatives?

Oh, no, he tried to do things through Congress even AFTER they'd gone full retard. They were full retard on day one...Y'know, after Republicans had a meeting where they agreed not to help Obama in any way, no matter what?

They've voted against their own farking bills when Obama and/or the Congressional Democrats agreed with them. They nearly caused a default that would have skullfarked the global economy because they "only" got 98% of what they wanted. They've used filibusters and holds more than any Congress in history, and have done less work. They've tried to repeal the ACA so many times I've lost farking count. They've made deals with Democrats, only to go back on them and shut down the government out of spite.

Republicans are petulant, lying, stuck-up children that have no business having any power whatsoever, but still do because of propaganda and, more importantly, gerrymandering.
